Welcome to The Scrappy Quilter! I love making scrap quilts, and everything that goes into one. Come on in to find both vintage and new fabric, buttons, gifts, quilts, and more. I add more to the store almost daily, so keep coming back! Please have fun looking at what I have to offer. Think Scrappy!!
My whole life, I have had a creative spark that kept trying to ignite. As a very young girl (maybe 5 years old?) I was taught to embroider. I loved any kind of art...coloring in coloring books with crayons, drawing, and painting. I learned to sew in high school Homemaking classes, and made garments for myself and my family for 30 years. As a young mother, I taught myself to crochet, and made many crocheted things over the years. I dabbled a bit in quilting, but in about 1991, the quilting bug bit, and bit hard!
Ever since then, I've become a "Scrappy Quilter"....meaning I've learned that it's more fun and exciting for me to make quilts using many different fabrics rather than using just 3 or 4. Each block is always just a little bit different from the next, and always a surprise!
As you can see by one of my pictures, our youngest son is in the Navy. We are so proud of him, and everyone else serving in the military. My favorite Community Project for donated quilts is "Quilts of Valor". The goal for QOV is to give a quilt to every wounded military person. We have a long way to go!

I have tried to offer many different fabrics in my store, The Scrappy Quilter. I guess this is because I like to use so many different prints and colors in my own quilts! I also will offer a selection of patterns that work great for scrappy quilts.
If you purchase more than one item, I will be happy to combine shipping costs. If you need to shop over a period of time, please e-mail me first to let me know you'll be shopping for awhile, so I can wait until you're finished and combine all of your purchases for one shipping cost and one payment!
I try very hard to mail out your purchases as soon as possible after your payment has cleared.
