I have been buying and selling on eBay for about 8 years now. Most transactions are great but from time to time there is a transaction that does not go well because of dishonest buyers or sellers. I will do everything I can to make sure everybody is happy but there are more people joining eBay and too many of them do not read my auction descriptions or eBay policy. Here are some things you need to know:
1. Non-Paying Bidders: The longer I sell on eBay the more non-paying bidders I get, usually from new members. It costs me time and money to list so please do not bid unless you have the money and are ready to pay. After 7 days non-paying bidders will be reported to eBay and your account could be suspended.
2. Let Me Know: If there is a problem with a transaction please let me know. Most of the time these are things that can be worked out. All of us depend on eBay feedback and EVERY negative or neutral I have received has been from somebody who jumped the gun and figured out what had happened after they left feedback. I have even received 2 negatives from people who never sent payment. Wow!
3. I'm Here: Please know that I am always here waiting to answer questions. In the world of junk-mail filtering there are important emails that can get filtered out. When I get payment or a question I will take care of it quickly. If you email me 6 times about something and I don't reply I am not ignoring you, I'm just not getting your messages.
4. I'm Just A Guy: Another misunderstanding some members have is that this is like Amazon. Most of us on eBay are just a person making some extra money, we are not a store, we do not have a staff of workers.
5. It's On The Way: When I receive a cleared payment I try to send the item out within 48 to 72 hours. If you need to know when it is going out please email me to ask. Please do not email me 1 day later to ask where your item is, trust me if you have paid then it's on the way. I will leave feedback after buyer has received item so that I can work out any problems if any come up.
6. Then Don't Bid: If you aren't happy with the auction description, shipping price, etc.. then please don't bid on my item. I'm tired of showing people EXACTLY what they are getting and EXACTLY how much shipping is and then somebody acting all offended after they get an item. You knew what you were getting, I don't trick people so don't act like it's my fault you can't read.
So there you go, some very simple but important things to keep in mind when bidding on eBay. I am a very honest seller and want to make sure everybody has a good experience. Good luck and happy bidding!
