I am BillieAnn Brady.
I have loved animals, art, antiques, jewelry, and books all of my life.
It only seems natural, that I have a site on eBay, that combines all these interest.
Rescue Resale was developed to raise money, for Fuzzy Face Pet Rescue.
Fuzzy Face Pet Rescue rescues, some the homeless, abandonded dogs in the North Central Texas Area. Some of these dogs were owned by people, who have died, or moved into a senior center, with a nurse on staff, around the clock. Older dogs are harder to place.
Most people want an active puppy. Some people think five (5) year old dogs are to old. We do not think so. They are just beginning life, as a young adult. No more chewing, now, they are beciming a well mannered adult. These dogs are a great family members, & companions. Often Bichons, Maltese, and Poodles lead a healthy, active life, even into the late teens.
My own Poodle lived to be 22 years old.
 CoCo, a Toy Poodle,was Rescued in Fort Worth, TX - She Now Lives in Alaska.
Some dogs may be abandond by careless owners. Most are a stray, running lose, and picked by animal control officers.
A "Very Dirty," or a very bad smelling, matted little dog, would be avoided by the general public. They can not see the love, under that stinky matted mass of hair. Without someone to rescue them, they will be put to sleep after seven days, at the dog pound.
When we cut away the matted hair, and give them a bath, we find a cute canine. After some TLC, we find a little companion, that wants to be loved.

I needed to ride. with all the windows down, on the way to the groomer.
Next the dog will be checked out by our Vet. The rescued dogs receive their shots, and are tested for heartworms. Many are heartworm positive, and need to be treated. All are spayed or neutered before placement, into forever homes.

Foster Families will share their home with the rescued dog, until we find a special, forever home, for their foster dog. A forever home, is a home, with loving families, that is approved to adopt one of these sweet companion dogs.
Fuzzy Face Pets, Inc. is a rescue group, that specializes in Poodles, Cock-a-Poos, Bichons, Maltese, or Poodle types of dog.
Jack, a Skye Terrier Mix, is Deaf & Responds to Hand Signals.
After His Owner Died, Jack was Rescued from the Pound.
Jack, Now Has Found a New Owner, to Love Him.We have rescue a few dogs that look like the rare breeds, in the Bichon family, the Bichon Havanese, Bichon Coton, Bichon Lowchen or the Bichon Bolognese.
These rare Bichons are now being mass produced, by the commercial puppy breeders. It is sad to see, the large numbers of animals, with poor breeding, now available, at very high prices.
This Pound Puppy, May have been a High Dollar, Christmas Gift, from a Mall Pet Store.
She was an "Unwanted Gift!" Later, She was Taken to the Pound & Dumped!
We rescue non shedding, shaggy dog types. We never know what breed of dog, we will rescue next. Ask us about "What Breed Types" that may have available for adoption.
Over the years, we have rescued Austrian Terriers, Carrin Terriers, Sealyham Terrier, Scottish Terriers, Silky Terriers, Skye Terrier, Westies, or West Highland White Terriers, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs & Tibetan Terriers and look-a-likes of those breeds. These may be a Shaggy Dog Terrier Mix or Benji Terrier types of dogs. Still we do not see the rare breeds often. We do see MANY Great Dogs.
We Named this Young Schnauzer, Gretta, After the Great Garbo.
She is now
known as, "Baby Girl" or "Baby Doll" and somtimes .... Mother's Dog, AKA "MD" in Her New Home
We rescue, what we call "Shaggy Dogs" or "Fuzzy Faces." Most (99.44%)of our rescued dogs require grooming, are of the non-shedding type.
We find the pure breed Poodle, the Maltese and the Bichon Frise, do not usually cause allergy problems, at least, in most cases. Our mix breed dogs, are of unknown parents, and may, or may not cause allergy problems. Ask us about any of our dogs, when you have allergy problems. We can help you select, the best dog for you, & your family.

This is Just the First Part of a Wonderful Future for Both of them.
All the dogs rescued by Fuzzy Face Pet Rescue are spayed or neutered before placement into their new homes. Our vet, Dr. Russ Hagan, gives each dog a complete check up. He make recomdations, as to the best plan, for their care. They receive all their shots, or all needed treatments or surgery, from him.

Often, we have Schnauzers, Snoodles, Yorkies, Shih Tzu, and Lhasa Apso and Benji types available for adoption.
Ping was Heartworm Positive, when he came into rescue.After Treatment, Ping is Now Heartworm Free.
This is a Happy Ending for Ping, as He Enjoys His New Family.
Our dogs have a blood test, to check for heartworms, by our vet, Dr. Russ Hagan. We use the prescribed heartworm preventive, on all our heartworm negative dogs. If a dog is heartworm positive, we work hard to raise enough funds, to provide the treatment, for that dog. It is a costly treatment, but these dogs are worth it.

This Dog has a Winning Personality. He Inspires Many Others.
A dog with "Special Medical Needs" always require extra funds.
Often, we need to have the older dog's teeth cleaned. and some bad teeth, may need to be removed. If there are tumors, we ask for them to be removed. Raising money, to cover the cost, of providing the very best care, for each animal in rescue, is a big job, everyday. That is what we do.

She is Now in a New Home with a New Mom.
When a dog has a need for a optional procedures, it can often be done, during the spay/neuter surgery. Still there are additional cost for these servvices.
Many of the dogs we rescue, were injured before they were rescued. They may have broken bones, or have other problems. Many are heartworm positive. These treatments are costly.
Fund raisers & contributions help save the life of many injured dogs.
Our Rescued Dogs Live Together, as Part of the Family Unit.
They Share Our Home, they have a Doggy Door & about one Acre of Back Yard.
Many of our Rescued Dogs come from one of the North/ Central Texas Animal Control Units or "dog pounds." We have rescued Bichon Frise, Maltese, & Poodles from several other state's Animal Control Facility, on occasion. Still, that is not our usual plan, it is for emergency.
It is always sad when the owner dies. Their dogs are surrendered to us, because family members cannot care for the dog. These dogs grief the loss of their owner & companion. Yes, they miss their owner just as much as any human misses their best friend. They get a lot of TLC here.They are allowed time to grieve. We try to find a new home, much like their first home. This type of transfer is best.

FuzzyFacePets operates RescueResale, to sell used Books, Art Paintings, Jewelry, & other stuff, usually on eBay, to raise money for the dogs in rescue.
Donations of towels, blankets, cleaning supplies, dog food, are needed by all rescue groups.
Special contributions, of usable items, for our Rescue Resale are always welcome.
Nemo, is a Beautiful Bichon Frise.
Nemo was Badly Beaten By Several Men. Thus He Hates Men in General, but has Learned to love My Husband, Wallace. Nemo Remains Safe From Harm at our Rescue.
Volunteers and Foster Homes are Needed!
Fuzzy Face Pet Rescue needs more people, more volunteers, to provide short term care for the rescued dogs in foster homes. It is easy. You will enjoy discovering just what a cute little dog you can find under all that dirt. It is a great feeling, to know you have help to save the lives of such sweet dogs. Now, your rescued dog is safe and happy, living in its new home, with the new family.
