With 40+ years of experience growing up on New York City's famous 48th Street Music Row, we've seen it all, and were pioneers of the vintage guitar industry. We have all the connections with all the right people, & long standing friendships with the best in the business, including world class recording studios, legendary artists, producers, & engineers. We also loan guitars & amps to TV & Movie studios for productions that demand authenticity.
Growing up in the 1960's Chi starting playing guitar & bass at age 4 or 5 or 6, learning from Greenwich Village Hippies, & a few revered NYC recording artists. By age 12 or 13 Chi was an accomplished player well known & respected in local NYC neighborhoods. Graduating High School at age 16 (Summer 1978), Chi went directly to Boston's infamous Berklee College of Music. Chi gigged extensively around the Boston area, taught privately, and assisted teachers at Berklee by tutoring & teaching the most advanced music theories of harmony, diatonic triad stacking, & multiple chord scale voicings.
Graduating Berklee with top honors at age 19 (Spring 1981), Chi attended NYC's Institute of Audio Research for two years with his home town buddies & original "Mandala" band mates, "The Rosedale Boys". Featuring original material, they became the "house band" for the Instutute's main studio, and were the session group for most of the Institute's recording projects during that period (1981-1983).
After a few more years of experience, Chi became a highly acclaimed session player, singer, song writer, & co-producer on the NYC studio scene, & toured extensively. Tired of being on the road, he settled back in NYC, writing, recording, & producing many projects. He also helped establish a Chelsea area recording studio with his home town buddies Dreamworld & ACM. Throughout the 1990's Chi continued working full time behind the scenes in the music & entertainment industries, working with the biggest names in the business. Without realizing it, his passion for buying, selling & trading fine vintage guitars developed into a lucrative investment strategy.
On a more personal & introspective note, as a singer, songwriter & solo artist, Chi has an extensive catalog of very tasty original material. Many have described our melodic mellow-spacey retro sound as unique, but hauntingly familiar. Think Pink Floyd meets Led Zep meets Hendrix meets Post Beatles meets Steely Dan meets World Music (what the ????).

Chi is available for any studio session if you need lead, rhythm, co-writer, co-producer, alchemist, coffee boy, etc. Studio session rates start at $40 per hour. An arsenal of authentic vintage guitars & amps will be used on all sessions. Most tracks are keepers, 1, 2, or 3 takes. Chi's lead, rhythm, writing, producing, alchemy, & coffee brewing skills are second to none. Guaranteed to be the freshest, tastiest, & hottest licks you ever heard! Need vocals? Lead, harmony, background vocals included. Private lessons & private instruction in the evaluation, identification, & appraisal of vintage or high end guitars available. Instructional rates start at $25 an hour.
