Hi!  My name is Ginny and I reside in Good Ole' Southern Maryland.  Back in July of 2005, my husband, Richard brought home an article from the "Washington Post"  about Ebay and people who buy and sell on ebay and some who do it as a part time job and others who quit their full time job to sell on Ebay.  It was a very interesting article and my husband thought that I would like to do it.  I decided to research it and read the various tutorials on Ebay.  I remember looking at what people sell and I thought, what possibly could I sell that might interest someone on Ebay.  Looking around my home, thinking do I want to part with any items.  I tossed the idea back and forth in my head for a few weeks.  Then I thought, my children have books that they no longer read, they have game systems they no longer play as well as games, we have a library of movies, library of fiction and nonfiction books, perhaps I could try to sell these items.   On August 4, 2005, I registered with Ebay and started to list a few items.  When I got my first sale, I thought Wow!  This is neat!  And each sale thereafter, I was even more ecstatic then the first sale.  So I started listing more and more items.  Now I am always looking for items new and used to sell. 

All in all, it's been thus far a great experience!  I am still learning and I find talking to other Ebay sellers/buyers in the Community Page is a great help to me.  These fine people are knowledgeable and have been selling or buying on Ebay for a long time.  They give good advice and make selling on Ebay much easier. 

My success thus far goes back to the theory of how I would want to be treated as a "Customer" purchasing an item.  I wrap every item very carefully and package it so that when it arrives at it's destination it arrives just like it left our home.  I don't sit on my sales. I ship out within 24 hours of a paid purchase, track every package and mail it First Class.  I communicate with my buyers.  I feel that "Communication" is the "Key" in any business.  I follow three steps - Notify the buyer that the payment was received and it will be shipping out on (date) - Provide a tracking number so if they wanted to track the package they can, - Send out a Thank you once the package is received and Make sure that they are satisfied by letting me know via feedback. I am confident with my sales that I leave feedback immediately after the payment is received. On September 26, 2005, I opened our Ebay Store - "Browser's Delight."  The name of the store is based on when you are on the net you browse and when you come to our store, I want you to be delighted.  I stand behind my merchandise and your satisfaction of an item purchased is important.
