I've been part of eBay for almost 10 years. I love buying and reselling here.

But seems eBay is changing and I'm not sure if it for the better.

I don't like others telling me how to do thing so I've debated about doing this for a long time.
But after looking at my seller dashboard today, I feel I have no choice.

Seems that eBay wants sellers to educate on the DSRs, Detailed Seller Ratings.

Buyers, please be aware that for every 4 you give a seller it lowers their stars. Once a seller gets to a 4.5, they get screwed in the Best Match.
While eBay tells you a 4 is GOOD, it is actually BAD for the seller.

Shipping costs: I NOW use the shipping calculator. I will ship just about everything FEDEX, but will use the USPS. FedEx is usually faster and handles claims much faster, should it be needed. I usually add a $1.50 for handling but usually have underquoted the shipping amount.

I do NOT set FedEx or USPS rates.
I will also refund any large amount of excess shipping chareges.
I use FedEx mostly since they have better tracking and a outstanding claims dept.

eBay's Donahoe has made comments about getting rid of the "flea market" aspect of eBay and bringing in big retail vendors, like Buy.com, GM, JC Penny ect... which will eventually eliminate smaller sellers like myself of vintage & collectibles, we're afraid. If that bothers you, send email to eBay about what you as a buyer are looking for.

I've been hanging out for almost 2 years now at the Pottery, Glass & Porcelain board.

Great bunch of people that are willing to help ID pieces and teach you what they know.
There are authors, antique dealers, & long time collectors that frequent the board and give freely of the information they have.

Listing Guidelines:
* Participants may start listing the auctions midnight August 1st - 10th
* No new auctions may be listed after midnight the August 10th .
* 1 (ONE) relist per auction is allowed and must end on or before August 22nd.

***No logo or TagSale may be added to currently running auctions.
***Relists of previously ended auctions can have TagSale & logos added as long as they are started between Augus 1st - 10th.

* BIN must have an opening bid of $9.99 or less but can have a BIN price at whatever you want.
* TAGSALE is to be in the title so search will find your auction
* The TAGSALE logo, code, & text must be in your description.
* All auctions must be in compliance with all TAGSALE & eBay policies & guidelines
* No hard/soft porn or risqué auctions are permitted (Please remember that what we might find funny, might be offensive for some buyers, if we offend a buyer we ALL lose.

Notes: If you want to list auctions that do not follow our guidelines, you are free to do so as a regular auction without TAGSALE in the title or description. If you need to ask if your auction is permitted, please ask us on the thread.

Sidebar Challenge It is an extra fun contests that ALL sale participants are a part of.

This month's contest is closet one to $31.00, over or under.

It will work like this:
1)All sellers are AUTOMATICALLY eligible.
2)Winner can pick a gift from the "Treasure Chest" list.
3)Winner does NOT have to accept if they don't want to give out their personal contact info.
4)If Winner doesn't want to accept the gift, it will go to the next highest seller.
5)Winner of the gift can pick the next contest, if they want too.
