History is Alive


My lifelong passion has been History: the living as well as those long since gone. It was nurtured in the Rosenburg Library in Galveston Island, Texas, a city of approximately 60,000+ where I grew up on the Southeast Texas coast. This library was where I spent much of my free time in elementary school. It contained many books, photos and artifacts about Texas History and other topics I found interesting. This eventually led me to college where I earned a degree in Political Science/History. After working in the oil and gas equipment field for a number of years I returned to college to become a certified teacher. This led to a teaching career  that lasted 20 years. I am now retired but my passion continues on in my never-ending quest to learn new things about topics too numerous to list here. Book collecting has been an offshoot of this lifelong quest along with a military model building hobby.  I have been selling off most of my military model kits due to my reduced ability to manipulate small plastic parts.  Selling on eBay has been a way to pass on to others the things I can no longer enjoy and to recoup some of my investment.  Thanks for stopping by to read this and may you have peace and prosperity in your lives.
