| Back to usual info: I first started my business of making clothing in 2001. I mainly did alterations, embroidery work, and custom orders. Seeing as how I'm not much for talking to strangers, I decided to start selling online instead. I started my first web site with only 3 products and now offer over 600 different items. I make everything myself and take great pride in my work. Many are original designs and I have many more in the workings. I currently offer everything from crocheted baby items to bridal gowns to Renaissance apparel, from curtains to greeting cards to bouquets. Here on ebay, all items are new unless otherwise stated. I was listing a lot of "custom" items, but because of some problems with people not reading the listings, I no longer do that. Customs will only be posted upon request. I still offer many "one of a kind" items. These are just that, one of a kind. Once it sells, I can not make any more. They are premade and can be shipped as soon as payment is received. I now only offer premade items. I will always list the size, color, and picture of the item. These also will ship as soon as payment is received. If you need a different color or size, just e-mail me and I will post a custom auction. I'd also like to take a moment to post a little bit about shipping costs. I had a problem with one individual claiming I overcharged her because the seperate postage stamp on the envelope said $1.30. Ok, I ship everything priority mail with delivery confirmation and insurance. When possible, I pay for the shipping costs online, but insurance at that time had to be bought at the post office, thus the seperate postage sticker. Priority mail starts at $3.85 and goes up with the weight and location. Insurance starts at $1.30 and goes up with the amount. When purchased online, delivery confirmation is free, but at the post office it cost $.45. Also, when I must pay for shipping at the post office, there is a label procesing fee of at least $.55. I had been shipping items in large padded envelopes, but have since switched to official USPS Priority Mail shipping boxes. I do charge a handeling fee to cover the confirmation and processing charges just in case I must pay for postage at the post office, but I no longer charge for shipping supplies. ***Please also note that unless you use the "get it now" option, I ship on Fridays - the first one after payment is received on premade and one of a kind items and the first one after item is finished on custom items. Priority mail takes 2 - 3 business days (or is supposed to. I have been noticing an increasing amount of orders taking over a week to arrive), so on premade and one of a kind items you should have it the Monday after payment is received. Custom items can take up to 2 weeks (or more if stated in description) to arrive, BUT ARE STILL SHIPPED PRIORITY MAIL. I would like to take a moment to discuss the one neutral feedback I have received. Ebay doesn't allow you enough space to respond to these things. Ok, the item in question was a CUSTOM pirate shirt. As I already have stated here, these take about two weeks to arrive. This fact was also stated in the description in two seperate places, once under shipping and payment instructions and once in the description itself. A few days after I ship the item I receive an e-mail. It read as follows:"I finally recieved this item yesterday. I was bit disappointed on how ling it took to get here and the method of shipment. I paid over $6.00 shipping and it comes packed tightly in padded envelope marded $1.30 shipping. Myself and husband have been doing ebay for along time and know prices. I gave you benefit of doubt, but the length of time it took to get here and the $ you charge for shipping I might give you neutral feedback. I do feel terrible doing so with such little feedbacks you have." I, of course, responded, trying to be fair and all, but still a little upset. My response was as follows: "Whatever you feel is reasonable. I would like to mention, though, that the $1.30 marked on the package was for the insurance only which was purchased at the post office. The remainder of the shipping cost was purchased through PayPal and it was shipped Priority Mail as stated. The envelope itself cost $1.03 after tax. All together that is a total of $6.18. I will admit that was a little less than figured, but I had one package, same thing, where I had to pay for the shipping at the post office because the labels would not print and it cost almost $8.00 (which figured the same price as yours online). I try to make sure everything is covered incase of such incidents. I also want to mention that it says under shipping and payment instructions "Please allow up to 2 weeks for shipping once payment is received, as this item is not ready made." and today is exactly 2 weeks. Now, with all that said, if you would like a $1.00 refund on your shipping, please let me know. I realize I haven't been ebaying very long, but my company has been in business for almost 4 years and I am aware that stuff happens. Again, please let me know your decision." I felt that was a reasonable response, but I guess she didn't. She never requested her dollar back and when she left feedback she lied and said she had "no communication with seller". I really wish they would let you argue your case in the feedback area, but I guess some people would have a lot of space to fill. Anyway, I did reply stating that she had e-mailed complaining and that I had responded. I also left her a neutral feedback in return, but she replied with the same "took long time to recieve, cost of shipping was too high, poorly packed". It is not my fault that some people don't know how to read the description. As for the shipping cost being too high, I accounted for every penny and offered a refund (which anyone is eligible for) of what was not used for shipping. Granted, I only refund if requested as to help cover posting fees, but if someone wants their dollar back, they are welcome to it. Being poorly packed, well I guess that is a matter of opinion. It is a fact that there is no way to make everyone happy so why try. Anyway, I just wanted to clear the air on that one and let everyone know exactly what was up.
