I have had a great experience with e bay so far and I created this page to give the folks I do business with a bit of info about the person they are dealing with beyond just an e bay user name.
I hail from New Hampshire's rugged and beautiful White Mountains, which is a great playground if you are an outdoor enthusiast/fun hog. Bike, hike, swim in the summer and ski, ski, ski in the winter...Guilty as charged.
I deal almost exclusively with bike parts on e bay, though I have also parted with some ski equipment and I sold all of my old rock climbing gear a while back (wife+kids=no more climbing...be warned all you bachelors out there!) I usually sell items that I no longer need/use in order to purchase the latest have to have item that I come up with. E bay has provided me with a way to get my hands on some items that I might not otherwise be able to afford, which is what I like the most about it. I was a bicycle mechanic in a past life so I'm quite meticulous with all of my bike related items...you will be getting gear in great condition if you buy bike related items from me.
Riding "on the edge"
I am both a buyer and a seller on E bay. When I buy an item you can expect immediate payment. If I ask you a question about your item for sale and you don't respond, I won't bid. I always bid on items that I really want and I always have the available funds or I don't bid. I believe in leaving feedback and do so as soon as I recieve my items. I also believe that good communication between buyer/seller is imperative and I strive for it with all my transactions.
As a seller I offer you an honest and accurate item description with pictures that realistically depict the item I am selling. I am not trying to sell junk and I certainly want you to be happy with your purchase...that's what E bay is all about! You will experience careful packaging and very prompt shipping. I'll always return the favor of feedback on the transaction. I do my best to charge fair shipping costs. I think my feedback should speak for itself.
A note on Assumptions: I have found that is is very important not to assume anything about an item you are bidding on here on E bay. I have been on both sides of this issue and have learned my lesson well. Make sure you read all item descriptions very carefully, look at all of the pictures and ask questions if you have any doubts. That way you can be sure you are bidding on exactly what I'm selling not what you want me to be selling!
One more thing...What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?
To protect bidder privacy, when the price or highest bid on an item reaches or exceeds a certain level, User IDs will be displayed as anonymous names. For auction items, a bold price means at least one bid has been received.
Note: Anonymous names may appear more than once and may represent different bidders.
