JUST AS
GOOD SOFT FITTED CLOTH DIAPERS
"We have only borrowed this earth from our
children." |
|
Hi my
name is Lisa and I am the designer of JUST AS GOOD
diapers. The original reversible, practical, durable,
one size fits all, comfortable, cost effective, easy and
convenient fitted cloth diaper.
For many
many years. I used plain ole' Gerber and
Dundee diapers for two of my
children.
YUCK!!
I hated every moment of it! They were
messy, stinky, tricky to fold, didn't fit right, leaked
and were hard to use. |
|
My
third child I discovered fitted cloth
diapers. WOW!
These diapers are just like regular
disposable diapers!
After spending a fortune on small and
medium diapers she was potty trained! Good thing too, I
already spent her college fund on
diapers.
Well, I passed along these cloth diapers
to my sister (who had twins). And wouldn't you know it,
here came child number 4! There was no way I was
buying more! So the thrifty mom in me took
over.
After much trial and error (much
collaboration with granny) and many many butts to change
Just As Good diapers were....born! The practical, durable,
reversible, one size fits all, comfortable, cost
effective, easy and convenient fitted cloth diaper
only a mom of many could
make. |
|
My grandmother had (I know you won't believe
this) 13 children and raised 21! Most of the time she
had several different sized children in diapers at once.
She has had her share of pin pricks and laundry days!
Between her expert advice and my trial and error I have
come up with the perfect diaper and the most convenient
way to use them. I will share this proven method with
you. I will explain everything in detail. I will let you
in on all our secrets and tips. All the things that we
have learned to make cloth diapers lovable.
I promise no bending over the toilet
trying not to gag while trying to dislodge your child's
poo from their cloth diapers! Our method of cloth is
tried and true. So simple even your husband can do
cloth! No nasty smells, no gagging, no stains. No leaks,
no inconvenience, no
regrets! |

***Tid bit o'
info***
JAG diapers are very flexible they move with baby.
unlike other diapers which act very much like a cast, my
diapers are very pliable. they fit similar to underwear
and are sliming under clothes.

Q & A
Q....Do you need a
cover over Just as Good fitted diapers? If so, what do
you recommend?
A......Just as good diapers are not
made with a waterproof cover. No you don't HAVE to have
covers with Just as good diapers but it is a good
idea.
Diapers with covers included are known as All In Ones
(AIO's). These diapers have a short life span. They wear
out very fast. Due to washing and drying of both the
cover and the diaper. I highly recommend using cloth
diapers that do not have a waterproof cover attached. I
am currently seeking an affordable material to make
covers to offer with my diapers. Until then please use
these tips when buying yours.
Three covers that seem to fit true-to-size, depending
on your baby's build, are the Whisper pull-on pants ,
the Super Industrial Wrap and The Gerber (my favorite)
pull on vinyl cover.
Some materials to look for, that last the longest,
are poly-coated nylon, industrial poly-knit, polar
fleece or industrial vinyl. These materials can stand up
to most any washing method - machine wash and
drying,
For the other fabrics, such as nylon, polyester,
cotton, or wool, you can make them last longer with
gentle treatment. Hand-washing with a gentle
vegetable-based soap.
Velcro is easier to adjust but needs to be closed
before washing. Snaps are not as adjustable but are
easier to wash.
If you are using wool covers, you can go for about
two weeks before washing them.
If you can afford it, have at least 5-6 covers in
each size to rotate. The less often you have to wash
your covers, the longer they will last. Remember you
will not have to wash after every change, just when
soiled.

Q & A
Q...How many diapers would I
need?
A...Depending on how often you
will be washing, you will need between 12 and 48
diapers. Expect to change your baby a minimum
of 6 times a day, a newborn will need to be change
10-12 times a day. If you are going to be washing
every other day, you can most likely get by with
the minimum of 12 diapers. If you will be washing
less often, then of course you will need more in
your supply. Remember you can always wash them and
you'll have more!
Just as good diaper come with one doubler per
diaper but it is a good idea to have more, just
incase. |
|
***Tid bit o'
info***
Buy simple flat squares and
quality waterproof covers and recoup your expense
in less than 2 months. Or go for the
top-of-the-line fitted diapers and breathable
cotton covers and STILL recoup your initial
expense in less than a year!
That means your second and third
years of diapering are
FREE!! |
|
***Tid bit o'
info***
Is it really true you
could potty train by one year old when using cloth
diapers?
Before
disposable diapers children were often potty
trained before their first birthday! (remember
chamber pots?) Your child knows when they are wet,
your child knows when they are going.
Now
that many children go straight from disposable
diapers to disposable pull-ups, it's not uncommon
to see four and five year olds who still aren't
completely potty-trained wearing pull-ups to
school. This can not be good for your child's
self-esteem, not to mention the added impact on
landfills. |

***Tid bit o'
info***
The average amount needed is a
little more than 2 dozen of each size*
-------------------------- Kissaluvs diapers
1 sm = $11.99 MJ's Sherpa Fitted 1 sm =
$10.25 Fuzzi Bunz 1 sm = $15.95 Bumkins 1 sm
= $15.99 Under The Nile Organic 1 sm =
$13.49 Ecobaby 1 sm =
$13.99 ---------------------------------------------- Using
MJ's Sherpa fitted cloth diapers
$10.25 x
24 = $246.00 for small + $10.25 x 24 =
$246.00 for medium + $10.25 x 24 =
$246.00 for large Totals $738.00
Now figure doublers and pins. Then do it all
again if you want boy/girl diapers!
Even if i were to charge $25.00
per diaper Just As Good diapers would still be the
best deal on the market! |

It takes as much energy to make one disposable
