welcome to my about me page. Here I have provided some information
about me as well as some
information about my auctions and of course, the dreaded rules & disclaimer.

People ask me all the time about my ebay name hauntedhouse5, why did I
choose that name and what made me think of it.
I chose my ebay name because I guess you can call me a Halloween person.
Some people love Christmas or Easter, I LOVE Halloween. In fact I decorate
more for Halloween than I do for Christmas and what little Christmas decorations
I do have tend to be Halloween themed as well. I love ALL things Halloween.
I also love horror movies, horror related collectibles, haunted houses,
learning about the paranormal and things of that nature and pretty much
anything that would be considered as scary. I even named my dog Mr. Barlow
(pictured at the top left) after the vampire in Salem's Lot. I guess I
have always been this way from as far back as I can remember, although
without dating myself I really can't tell you just how far back that is
:o)
Although I sell mostly clothing, I do try to offer a wide variety of items
in my auctions, something for everyone. Occasionally I may offer brand
new items with the tags still attached, but MOST of the time, I offer items
that I only have one of in one size. Allot of the items I sell are vintage,
so you really can't find them around too many places. It is for that reason that while I will accept returns, it will be for a merchandise credit only, That is unless I have make a mistake or an oversight in my listing (if that is the case, I will provide you with a refund).
If you should receive your item and you have a problem with it or want to return it for any
reason for a merchandise credit, please contact me and let me know. If you feel something isn't right, PLEASE let me know PRIOR to leaving feedback and I will
do everything I can to make it right.
FEEDBACK IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME!! I value my feedback very much and I want to do all that I can to have the BEST feedback possible. I do not feel
that just leaving someone a neutral or negative feedback with no warning
and no chance to make things right is fair. I will not know you are dissatisfied
unless you tell me about it. If the way you decide to tell me is through
your nuetral or negative feedback, then it is too late for me to have the
chance to make things right. If you are not happy, a simple e-mail is appreciated.
On the other hand, if you are happy with your item,
I love to hear that too, so go ahead and let me know by giving me a 5 star rating in my DSR's (Detailed Seller Ratings) and leaving a positive feedback for me.
WHEN THE AUCTION IS OVER, PLEASE FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE GUIDELINES:
After the auction has ended, you will receive an e-mail from me entitled "Checkout/ Payment instructions". There will be a link at the bottom of this e-mail that will direct you to my "check-out page". Your shipping cost as well as any shipping options and all the other information you will need to complete out transaction can be found on the check-out page.
PLEASE kindly fill out my check out page as soon as possible. This lets me know you have received my "end of auction contact" and it also provides me with your shipping information so I can prepare your package.
Once you have filled out the check out page and your payment has been received, I will send you an e-mail letting you know when your item will be shipped. I usually ship items every weekday and whenever possible I try to ship items the same day or the day after payment has been made.
When
you have received your item, please let me know you are happy with
it by leaving a positive feedback and DSR ratings.
Now,
for the dreaded rules & disclaimer.......................
Please read and reveiw the this information as it will provide you with the terms
of my auctions. Please make sure you are comfortable with abiding by these terms
before you bid in order to help me to provide you with a smooth transaction.
MY NUMBER ONE RULE: PLEASE
DO NOT BID IF YOU CAN NOT PAY!
BIDDING
IS A CONTRACT!!! I allow for 7 days from the day your auction closes
for your payment to arrive. I think this is more than fair considering that I will accept online payments.
If you know that you will not be able to meet this deadline and you want to ask
if you can bid anyway, or if you place a bid and then have a legitimate crisis
which prevents you from meeting the deadline, please e-mail me and I will do
the best I can to work with you. I do not like to have unpaid item disputes and
Non-Paying bidders, and I do not like leaving negative feedback, but I will follow
through with all of those things if your payment is not received.
YOU
MUST CONTACT ME WITHIN 3 DAYS OF YOUR AUCTIONS END: This is not just
my rule, it is ebay's! Three days is sufficient time after winning
your auction to fill out my check out form. By doing this it let's
me know first of all, that you are aware you won the auction. It
also let's me know how and when you intend to pay for your auction.
If three days have gone by and you have not heard from me, just send
me a quick e-mail to touch base. Communication is key for a smooth
transaction.
PLEASE
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE READ THE ITEM DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU BID: If anyone
reading this is also a seller than you know how frustrating it is
to go to the trouble of putting size, measurements, fabric content
etc. in your item description only to have someone e-mail you asking
what the measurement of the waist is!!!!
It's like, come on people, did you bother to read the description before you
e-mailed me? It is to your benefit as well as mine that you read the description
BEFORE you bid. This way you know what you are getting. If your item has any
flaws in it I will state them in the description so there are no surprises. Also,
I don't have to answer redundant e-mails.
OK, I am not perfect, sometimes I may leave a crucial measurement out of the
description or there may be other details you want to know about the item. In
that case I am more than happy to get back to you with any information you may
need.
INSURANCE
IS YOUR OPTION: I can not be responsible for packages that are lost
or damaged in the mail. I offer the option of buying insurance on
your package at the current Post Office insurance rates ($1.70 for
items valued at .01 cents - $50.00 or $2.15 for items valued at $50.01
- $100.00)
WHAT IS INSURANCE? - Insurance does not guarentee the delivery of your package,
what it does is provide you with a refund of the purchase price of your item
should the Post Office lose your package or damage the contents.
I save all my shipping receipts when I go to the Post Office and I am happy to
provide you with a faxed copy as proof that I did ship your item on the day I
said I shipped it, but what happens after that is out of my control. For the
most part packages do tend to be delivered without a problem.

YOU HAVE A ZERO (0) OR NEGATIVE FEEDBACK RATING YOU MUST E-MAIL ME
BEFORE YOU BID OR YOUR BID WILL BE CANCELLED: I welcome new ebayers
to my auctions, and I also beleive that everyone deserves a second
chance, however because of all the recent DEADBEAT Bidders out there,
I have to take some precautions.
When I say negative feedback rating, it doesn't mean if you have ever had a negative
feedback, it means if your current feedback rating is less than zero like -2,
you MUST e-mail prior to bidding.
