What the heck is a Hedgecatsbay, anyway?
Sorry, it isn't an island in the Aleutian Chain. The name is actually a combination of some of my interests. I help raise African pigmy hedgehogs for the local breeder. And I have two cats. I needed a simple name to remember while I'm on eBay so I simply made those three things into one name.

My Life as an eBay Addict
It all began innocently enough. Curiosity lead me to eBay and a life-long passion for bargain hunting has kept me here. After having found so many things that I wanted at a fraction of the price I'd have had to pay locally, I decided it was time to start parting with some of my many treasures (or junk as my husband calls it). I've been a collector of assundried antiques, china, teapots, jewelry, lamps, decorator plates and the like for more than 40 years. I have many things from my mother's estate as well. There is a point at which "stuff" exceeds "square footage" and as I get closer to retirement, I feel it's time to pass on (er, maybe that's not the right phrase), find new homes for some of my treasures. I hope you enjoy looking at my items as I get around to posting them.

Alrighty then! Perhaps I should mention I am all about honesty. It is apparent that people who are honest, friendly, caring and trustworthy do well in this world. It would follow that those people also do well as members of the eBay community.I also believe that a sense of humor is a worthy trait. You will notice that in many of my listings. Gosh, eBay should be fun as well as a great place to buy, sell and interact with people from around the world. I will always be upfront about any item I post and will never intentionally mislead or misrepresent myself or any item I list for sale. I believe in the KISS phylosophy (Keep It Simple, Stupid) and that's why you aren't going to see a lot of glitz on any of my pages. Besides, I'm still pretty perplexed about the whole html thing. I invite you to e-mail me with questions, either about me, Alaska, my items for sale or for information I have failed to mention here. So, that's about it. Hope you have as much fun on eBay as I do!
