You know those
asshats who charge too much for metal merchandise? I'm their worst enemy. See
how they tremble at the words......free shipping......
Okay, perhaps
that is a bit dramatic. If you're looking for information about Homicide Rocker,
here it is. The entire point of Homicide Rocker's existence is to make metal
merchandise available to people; namely, to poor young people.
This Isn't
Europe!
Of course,
anyone can go find a Slayer shirt in about 3 seconds. But if you find a Rhapsody
shirt, it's nearly guaranteed it will be an international seller. Which means heavy
on the S&H. Which sucks. And that's another reason I'm here--to give you free
shipping within the United States. And free worldwide shipping on a lot of
things too. Even on stuff that you would probably be willing to pay twice as
much for. Admit it, you would! I probably would too. But I don't believe in the
almighty $30 t-shirt.
Personally?
I'm a college student/crappy part-time job holder.
I work a "real" job assembling and repairing bicycles. I'm into nearly every
kind of music but I'm generally pigeonholed as a metalhead, which I am extremely
proud of. (I think that is the case with most metalheads.) My favourite band is
Savatage.
Metal!
People always
seem to want to know what kind of metal I'm into. I'm not sure why; none of you
slackers have sent me any front-row Sonata Arctica tickets for my birthday yet.
Well, I'm a power-metaller mostly. I also like a lot of progressive metal that
sounds a lot like power metal--Time Requiem, Artension, Evil
Masquerade, and that whole library of stuff. So yeah, I'm pretty much a power-metaller. I especially like really powery power metal like Persuader, Savage Circus, Manticora, Rage. You know, power metal that isn't all fluffy and gay.
The Future!
The original
concept for Homicide Rocker was a web-based metal community. Similar to
MetalStorm but, um, not
European. Well, I fell into this avenue by way of some Stratovarius patches
(long story), but the original plans haven't been discarded at all. You can check out the free-standing HR web page, complete with shop, forum, blog, link swap, newsletter, and whatever else comes and goes when I feel like putting in the effort.
Other future
plans? Leaving Florida. Finding some place that likes me, and opening a REAL
store. And being metal for the rest of my life.
MySpace!
If you hang out
on MySpace, check out the HR profile. Which, by the way, is REALLY lame. Click here to go there!
