Hi!
About our name: HOOTIE (who-tea); a name my Aunt Louise gave all the Angels and good spirits around us. She was such a strong Christian, started her own church, and preached in the 60's when it was considered taboo.
As a young child some of my fondest memories were of going to attic sales with my Grandmother; she purchased "pretties" along with furniture. We shopped at pottery & fabric outlets; one store the clerk used his toes to take our money, he was jovial & unique.
Have been selling on the internet since 1998, have sold on other sites; but found my home on ebay. Am previous owner of an antique store; opened in fall of 1994 and was sold when my husband went into the ministry in 1998.
Decided to study Vintage jewelry in 1994. Was fortunate to have an elderly lady teach me, advise me which books to buy, what pieces to buy, and pricing; she had been selling for over 40 years. My sister was an advid collector of the "gaudy" old jewelry, her tips & help were 'fabulous!' Altho' she is no longer with us, her words never leave me; like: "Dufus, don't touch that I saw it first, I'm having it!"
My fondness for Sarah Coventry began as a young girl, attended the parties in the 50's; wonderful, fun memories of a superb line of costume jewelry! I currently study the books & other web-sites seeking more knowledge and information.
Am a previous member of the now closed, Juliana Jewelry Group; have spent many hours studying confirmed Juliana pieces.
MINT: I use a jewelers loupe to check each item under a bright light, use of the word mint is not taken lightly as every effort is made to insure the word is used properly. Am pleased to offer mint condition pieces.
"PICKY VICKY"
When receiving or purchasing an item it is closely inspected under a bright light with a magnyfying glass. Once the item has been listed it is then packed into individual bags or carefully stored in drawers or a closet. Any sets of jewelry never touch each other while awaiting your purchase.
Am constantly buying more Sarah Coventry to offer; several sellers have asked me not to buy from them anymore as I've received damaged/worn items and insisted on returning. This has not bothered me, being called Picky Vicky is an honor!!

Am currently staying home to attend to my critically ill husband's needs, all my ebay sales allow me to do this. (His heart is gradually failing, we hope & pray for a transplant).
GRACE & PEACE to all who pass this way!

WHO'S WHO
REBEKAH; My baby sister, who despite extremely fine talents, 2 young children, and a successful career; decided she was "tired of seeing life through a dark tunnel", sadly she commited suicide.
ELOISE: My wonderful, funny, and admired Mother-in-law who is awaiting me in Heaven.
VICTORIA: Our fabulous grand-daughter who loves going with us to find treasures.
MARY DONNA: My forever best & dearest friend; while waiting on a liver transplant was called on to Heaven.
MAMA ENLOE'S KITCHEN: She has been called a saint by her children & grandchildren; her community & church. She loved shopping for pottery, fabrics, & going to look for pretties, was so blessed to have gone with her. She dressed always in dresses, even when milking or farming, & wore a bonnet in her garden. On Sunday she wore brillant costume jewelry. Many of the vintage kitchen items offered stem from memories of her kitchen.
