My first teds made their debut on Ebay in late October 2001. Much time, care & attention goes into each of my little bears to bring out their individual personality. I use only the finest quality furs, such as Schulte Mohair,
recycled mink and other real furs, Imported Faux furs, Long Pile Upholstery Velvets and more....Each little face is tenderly & meticulously scissor sculpted, no clippers are ever used...My goal is to offer TOP QUALITY, Heirloom Collectibles as well as to create little faces
that are so irresistable they can't help but bring SMILES :) and Joy to the faces of others.
"Then and Now"
Pictured above is an example of how my work has evolved since I began bearmaking. The 2 bears shown on the left represent "Then" and the bear shown on the right represents "Now". Boy oh boy, what a difference time and experience makes :)
A Little About The Bears
"Bumblebeary" is one of my newly designed, larger bears for 2006.
When adopting a Hucklebeary Patch Teddy Bear you can be
assured you're taking home an original design by JoAnne K. Harnden. As a professional artist, the bears and animals that I create represent not only a source of income but also the pride in knowing that my unique, one-of-a-kind works are very uniquely my own designs. Each cub is designed and completely hand sewn by me with many long hours being spent on each and every bruin from the initial design to the finished bear. I strive to bring out each bears very own, unique personality, and each cub, leaves my den, holding a small part of me :O)
My cubs ranged in size from 6 to 12 inches with faces that are packed FULL of personality and expression! All of my cubs are 5-way jointed and stuffed with lots of hugs, steel shot (100% lead free) and polyfil. Their eyes are premium, hand blown glass. Armatures are used, on occassion, to add flexibilty for posing. Each bear comes with a signed and dated tag as well as being signed, dated and 1/1 on their right foot pad. Hucklebeary Patch Bears are...
