Thank you for visiting my ME page!
The way we are buying and selling cars today is going through a major change.
Years ago the only place to buy a car is from a Ma and Pa new car dealers.
Today we have many options where we can get our vehicles from:
- New Car Dealer
- Used Car Dealer
- Private Party Ads Newspaper and Online
- Online Ads
- eBay!
Since the market is some what saturated; what is going to separate the "good from the bad" are the ones who are honest, straight forward and personable.
How did I get involved with vehicles?
My full time job is actually not in vehicles, but Information Technology. My father has always worked in the auto business, so essentially you can say I grew up in this business. I remember going to work with him on Saturdays as a young boy and playing around in all the cars.
As I grew older, my love for cars grew also! I even had this dream of one day owning a small store with my father. Most kids graduate high school and attend college, well I attended a car dealership so to speak. I started selling cars for a Chevrolet store in the suburbs where I lived. At 18, I was selling anywhere between 15 - 25 cars per month. It was a exhilarating, fun and streesful. I attribute my success to the way I was raised. Respect, honesty and being personable. If you didn't have those attributes, you didn't sell cars.
As the years went by my love for the auto business had diminished. I was unhappy with the way things were ran, I didn't care for some of the tactics that the dealers wanted us to use. Not to mention the hours were extremely brutal, 60 - 70 hours per week with almost no nights or weekends available. This is not the way I wanted to raise a family down the line. I then left 5 years later and started in the IT field.
As time went by I still felt their still was a little fire in me about cars. I started to buy and sell cars on my own, but to locals who knew me. It was very rewarding feeling, I got them a vehicle at a more reasonable price than dealers, I made a little money and everyone is happy.
About 2 Years ago I decided I wanted to change the way we bought cars. I looked to eBay and found that this is how I can put it all together; it gave me the stability of keeping a good job while fulfilling a childhood dream.
How Gmotorcars aka HUMMERTOOLS got started:
I planned out the ground rules for this adventure. Only dealers who have excellent customer service, excellent respect for business and respect for what I do for them will be allowed to work with me.
In order to be a partner with me, the following criteria must be met:
- Clean dealer at all times
- Single point of contact at each store with someone who has demonstrated 4 star customer service and employment longevity
- Non pressure environment
- Most important complete honesty
After a 1 year test pilot, eBay has been a hit. I have met some wonderful people. Complications have been extremely minimal and all parties have been completely satisfied.
What do I do exactly?
I won't partner with just any dealer. I need to make sure my customer and friends are always taken care of, I want to build long lasting relationships.
The dealer or individual sellers ask me to list their vehicle. I spend thirty to forty minutes with each vehicle going through the following checklist:
- Check the paint and body (Look for body damage, previous paint work)
- Check the interior (Test all the interior options)
- Check the mechanics (Drive for 10 minutes testing acceleration, braking and noises)
- Review previous sales and auction reports
- Try to get a history on the vehicle (Why they traded it in, traded in for what)
I then take pictures and videos of the vehicle and determine if it's a postable car based on the price the dealer needs to sell it for.
What seperates me from other eBay Sellers?
Anybody can go to the auction and list a car on eBay, but wouldn't you like to know the history of the car? Some consider me an investigator of vehicles; I look at everything from the seat wear to the radio stations to profile who had this car or truck. I will give you as much info as I can on what I found.
Most sellers do not want to be bothered with emails or phone calls.
I want you to be able to contact me anytime you want; I'm available via cell phone, email, Blackberry and text! I want to give you a 4 hour or less email response during awake hours.

My Favorite Cars
If GM was smart they would hire me. I am their best salesmen. I feel GM cars are the best built and longest lasting. If you test as many cars as I do, you will understand that 150,000 on GM Minivans are like a walk in the park. Don't get me wrong, their are other cars out their that are great too, but when you combine price, looks, reliability and options I think GM has the best options.
Thanks for taking the
