Welcome one and all to my "About Me" page. As you can tell from my user id, I am interested in the stamps of Hungary. I started collecting this country as a small boy because of my grandfather who only spoke Hungarian. I guess you can say it is a heritage thing! Over the years I continued collecting this country and have now nearly completed it in mint condition from 1871 to 1999. Recently I started to work on the used stamps and now concentrate on town cancels from 1850 to 1920. I hope to put up on ebay a lot of my duplicates to sell to other collectors interested in this favorite country of mine.
Here is a scan of the first issue of Hungary to show you the difference between the lithographed and engraved stamps. A lot of beginning collectors have a hard time distinguishing which is the correct stamp!
