I am here sharing my new found love & obsession of, altered arts/collage/mixed media.
I am a fairly new artist and started creating and selling my art here on ebay within the last 3 years. It has been very inspirational for me selling on ebay, it has opened up a whole new world of opportunities and a void in my soul has been filled
Izabella is a self taught, outsider/mixed media/collage artist. She lives in Las Vegas & works her magic in an art studio, she calls “the dungeon” (a wine cellar,converted to work space)
She has discovered mixed media art only within the last few years, so she is in the midst of discovery & experimentation, with new techniques…like a mad scientist in the dungeoun! Recently she was introduced to Photoshop, she madly adores altering her work digitally, which has endless possibilities for her artwork.
Izabella considers her work, “outside the box” a bit dark, and is tremendously inspired by
Vintage images, in which she tries to capture and express the haunting beauty in her works. Each of her visions brought to life on paper have a personality of it’s own, trying to evoke strong emotions in those who view them. Some sweet & whimsical, while others are dark and mysterious. Her work, at this time, mainly consists of paper, revamped jewelry and altered art.
She has been published in Bernie Berlin’s book “Altered Art Cards Workshop” and currently will be published in 2 upcoming books due out in books stores 2008, authors, Susan Tuttle and Lisa Kettle.
When not busy creating art, she is busy at her computer uploading art to the many art groups she belongs to, she is a founding member of ZNE. She has started flickr groups & a private NING art group called “Outsider Artists” the gathering place~ And "Creative Souls" a diverse gathering of souls, writers, producers, artists, muscians~
Spirituality, music and her 2 young boys are her inspirations, she loves to perform endless hours of magic tricks for them, a quick movement of hand & a disappearing quarter leaves them giggling & eyes full of wonderment and in awe of their mommy ;) Izabella is intriqued with David Blaine street magic!
