Hello to all my friends, thanks for visiting my "about me" page. When I was little my dad used to ask me what I wanted most, and I would say "the moon and stars!" I love creating my little teddies, and hope that I make others happy with them. I put all my creative effors into making them unique. My gram always told me, "anything worth doing, is worth doing right," and I have always tried to live by that. I hope I bring a smile and a little happiness to others with my teddy bears.
I hand sew all my teddy bears that are under 15 inches, and I hand stitch all my teddy bear heads. I sew, knit and crochet most of their clothes. I love to try out different fabrics, especially denim. I make teddy bears out of old jeans, overalls, denim jackets, blankets, upholstery fabric, polar fleece and just about anything else that is heavy enough. I always make the head first, because that is the "soul" of the teddy. I have a little mixed lab/beagle dog named Jesse, and most of my teddy's faces are influenced by her sweet face.
