| Hello and thank you for visiting. I have been buying and selling on ebay for about four years. This happened after my son departed for college and I found myself in a big quiet house. Instead of joining the outside work force... I decided that being at home was my true desire. I have been a stay at home mom for many years. I have always had the sesquicentennial family farm to manage and taking on a new career at this point in my life did not make sense. Besides, who would be able to keep an eye on the aging parents? All of my siblings have moved away! This is when I had the revelation that selling on ebay was a great opportunity for me to occupy time and make a little extra income. I guess you could say that selling on ebay is my new child. |

HOME SWEET HOME

| My community is very rural and we live on a farm that has been in my family for over 150 years. The soil is some of the finest in the world! We grow mostly corn and soybeans, although at one time wheat was a popular crop. My grandfather was a dairyman when he lived here....but we no longer keep any livestock. I have a garden in the summer, along with an orchard which produces apples and pears. Our current home was built by my great grandfather around 1915 in the wonderful Arts and Crafts style of that period. We have worked tirelessly over the years to maintain and restore it's originality. My mother and aunt were born in this home and it has been witness for two family weddings. One was in 1920 and the other was in 1957, perhaps another family member will choose to keep the tradition in the future. Again, I thank you for taking the time to get to know a little about me. It has been nice visiting with you! |
