allows you to learn more about users before you pay them through PayPal.
To become Verified, Java Bear Corporation had to provide PayPal with
relevant account information at a major financial institution.
Because these institutions are required by law to screen account holders,
PayPal's verification process increases security when you pay parties with
whom you have not previously done business. |

All of our auctions listed on
eBay should be covered by up to
$2,000.00 USD (Top Tier
Coverage) under the PayPal Buyer
Protection Plan. Look for
the green Buyer Protection
box on our auction listings
under the "Buy Safely" section
at the right of the header. To
earn this level of coverage, our
company must maintain the
following:
An eBay feedback rating is at least 50 (Our rating is over 7000!)
At least 98% of the sellers eBay feedback is positive
PayPal Verified Business Account is in good standing
PayPal is listed as an acceptable payment method

For larger purchases, where
there might be a need for additional security, we offer bonding services
through BuySafe. A surety bond is an established financial tool commonly
used by traditional businesses to guarantee the performance of a contract.
Through BuySAFE and its surety partners (Liberty Mutual, Travelers, and ACE USA),
Java Bear Corporation can now extend surety bonds to
protect our online commerce transactions. A bond is a three-way agreement between
a surety company and the two parties (the buyer and the seller) involved in a
transaction. Using a bond in an online commerce transaction accomplishes two
very important goals:
1) It indicates that Bonded Sellers have passed a rigorous
qualification and underwriting process.
2) It protects buyers from possible seller/consignor default or fraud.
If any of our auctions do not specifically offer a BuySafe bond, and you feel that
one is needed, just ask us, and for a small fee we can extend this service to you.
The amount of financial protection for each transaction is equal to the final sale price of the item.
BuySafe can offer surety bonds up to $25,000, and each surety bond remains open for 30 days
to allow the successful completion of the transaction. |

The Java Bear Corporation is
a member in good standing of the
Antiques & Collectibles National
Association (ACNA). They
were originally established as The Antiques
& Collectibles Dealers Association (ACDA) in 1991.
A few years later, National Association of Collectors (NAC) was
formed.
In 1998, both the Antique & Collectibles Show Promoter Association (ACSPA)
and National Association of Antique Malls (NAAM) were formed to address the specific needs
of these communities. Then in 2005, all the associations were merged together to form Antiques &
Collectibles National Association (ACNA).

provides access to industry
trends, education, and
networking resources to help us
continue our professional
