Is eBay cool or what?

A bit about me . . .
I use eBay to sell and buy for myself mostly, but occasionally I'll offer merchandise from one of the businesses I operate. I'm a real 'tecchie toy' adict and tire quickly of the newest toys, so you'll see a lot of quality items in very good to excellent condition listed regularly. I'm also addicted to yard sales and again, tire quickly of purchases and you'll see a lot of knick-knacks, near antiques, collectibles, etc. Regardless of whether the offerings are personal or business, they are guaranteed to be exactly as described or your purchase price will be refunded. If you look through the feedback left, you'll find I'm very honest on both sides of the eBay equation. The one negative feedback I received was from mrtechusa who left negative feedback because I had the audacity to report him for sending me the wrong item and then failing to replace or refund even though I had returned it using HIS RA# and RETURN ADDRESS LABEL that HE sent me!  He then gave me negative feedback saying an advance replacement had been issued. That was in December of 2004 and as long as this paragraph remains, I have yet to recieve this promised replacement. I feel compelled to warn everyone to avoid mrtechusa, he (or the company he claims to be) is a highly unethical person/company. *UPDATE* It seems mrtechusa is no longer a registered eBay member . . . YAY!Looking forward to doing business with you, wether you're buying from me or I'm buying from you . . . eBay is cooler than Hollywood and more convenient than 7-Eleven! |

The business side of me . . .
I am Senior Partner of PeaceWork Music Net (www.peaceworkmusic.net). We represent over 600 independent bands, 25 independent labels and are still growing. We distribute world-wide through a group of managers in several contries and we accept and offer music from everywhere. I also own and operate the independent labels PeaceWork Records and Buddha Belly Records as well as the publishing company, All The Rest Publishing (ascap). If that weren't enough, I'm the founder, vocalist, writer and composer for the word jazz band, Jazza Diction and have released a couple albums as a solo performer under the name Warren Peace. |
A Note About Shipping Because eBay has recently chosen to 'enforce rules' regarding 'fair shipping fees' I've decided to use the shipping calculator and add $2.50 handling to my auctions. Unfortunately, because eBay charges what I feel is excessive fees for reserve auctions, my listings will be considerably fewer and I'll sell a lot of items at swap meets that I used to list on eBay. Because I lost money the first few auctions using the shipping calculator, I've added a pound to the estimated weight of each item. Since I started doing that, I still lost money on one auction, but all the others have been a few cents less than the shipping calculator charged. I'm going to keep using this method, just wanted to be upfront about it with you all. Please remember that eBay keeps a portion of what you pay for your auctions. In most cases, it ends up being about 25% of the sale, so you can see why sellers may be a bit unhappy at times. |
