We are now Shipping Worldwide!
Hello!
We are Rabbit Trails Collectibles and CindyLee's Loft-and we want to invite you to share a bit of our lives and a LOT of our business!
About Us:
We are parents of 3 and grandparents of 4. We added a daughter-in-law in June and we are so very excited! She is a Super-Sweety!
Hubby, Jim, though retired from the U.S.C.G, still works full time, but the goal is to eventually be done with that and do this...or something else...not in the too distant future! He has also completed his education for ministerial credentialing. We aren't really sure where God wants us to go with that, but we'll follow. We are hoping wherever it is, this business will be something we can keep.
...As for our interests, it's very difficult to corral that issue!
I wish I could put into words the love we have for and how blessed we know we are to be a part, however large or small, of our grandchildrens' lives. Watching them learn and grow and the second time around it's still all so very fast...Well, words for this kind of joy may not exist.
In regard to our other interests, we both do love to sing and have often done so publicly, in the arena of leading Congregational music, mostly in a Contemporary Christian format, but also as requested for weddings, etc.
Together, and with one daughter, we have made one recording, and a few years ago, I was able to make a solo recording...The first we used to raise money for a Children's Home and the second was a private little thingy for gifts to family/friends.
We are both avid writers-with Jim being more of the 'how-to' writer, and me leaning more toward the story-teller side of things.
We love planting and seeing what grows...both in our yard and in the lives of others.
And then, there's our Business...
It's a double-sided sort of thing...Sometimes it drives us CRAZY...but we still LOVE it!
We started by first being customers of other wonderful eBayers...and for a very long time, contemplated making the Cross-over to their side of the water...But were afraid the current might be a bit swift for a couple of old bunnies.
But the desire to do something different in our work lives led us to this trail, and so far...so good! We have learned so much and strongly intend to learn much more!
We spend a great deal of time in research and are spending more time lately in gleaning information from those who've walked this path before us. We want to GROW our business and we understand the value of education if we're really serious...which we are.
We love the people we get to meet, and often feel like we're connecting with some real grass roots folks...Being from the country, now living in the city while yearning for the country...we really appreciate that feeling! We do our best to value people as they should be valued and we hope you sense that when you come to visit.
What makes our business 'different', we think, is attention to YOU. Jim loathes poor customer service and is ALWAYS critiquing this area in every business we deal with. We will forego a deal for better customer service...and "DEAL" is his middle name!

We sell a lot of collectibles. Antique, Vintage, Fun, a little Quirky... We also sell new and not-so-old items that we have a good feeling about people liking. We are experienced yard-sale, thrift store, flea market and estate buyers. We can spot a deal from a 1000 or more paces...and we love bringing those deals to our store and online auction floor!
We make it a point to keep up with the preferences of all age groups, so our kids often drop hints about our items..."If that doesn't sell, I sure would like to have it." -We have been able to bless our newlywed kids with many fun and useful items to help decorate their homes...(A word to the wise: ALWAYS ask them first!)

A Bit About Giving...
Part of the reason Rabbit Trails Collectibles was started was to create an income that would allow for extra giving. Your well-spent dollars have already enabled us to help send 2 Christian Missionaries to other countries, and we're hoping to do more of that in the future. They have helped us to help a child fighting cancer, a family fighting to keep their home due to medical bills from a terminal disease, a community drive to raise $ for Breast Cancer Research, The Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters, The Veteran's Administration, Goodwill Industries, Teen Challenge, Youth Challenge, and our own Church Body. Every time you buy from us, you can know that at least a portion of the proceeds will be 'recycled' into a good and wholesome cause.
No, we do not have a charity to which we always give...although we've certainly considered it...There are just too many, and we don't want to limit ourselves in being able to give to one this month, week or day because we're over-obligated to another cause at the time. We love it when God presents an opportunity to give, we validate the need, and are able to give. I can't tell you how happy we were to give more than our original intent to family of the little boy fighting cancer! So, when you see the 'giving' part of the screen empty on the e-Bay listing page...pay it no heed...we may not give to one of the offered charities on a regular basis, but rest assured, Rabbit Trails Collectibles believes in and regularly participates in, Giving.

About Saving the Earth:
We don't believe it can be done, at least not by mere man. BUT, we do believe it's our responsibility to do the best we can to care for what we have been given. We do pretty much the same as others in this area, but we also recycle our household goods and clothing either to folks we know can use them directly, or to places like Goodwill and Salvation Army, etc.
And we are very happy that our business just naturally falls into recycling. A good deal of what we sell has known other owners...Vintage items, Depression Glass...the list could truly go on and on. These are items of true value that for one reason or another, have found themselves without a home. For now, we store them safely in our home-until they are adopted by a new family.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Some people question the cost of buying previously owned items. Well, if you must know, we do a LOT of leg work to bring these items before you! (Not to mention the cost of gas.)
Sometimes, we find ourselves on our knees beneath tables, digging though a promising stack of dishes or other glassware. Always, always, always, we are looking for that diamond in the rough that others overlooked. And we find them, too! Why so often? Two reasons: 1)Others don't take the time to look. 2)Others don't know what to look for. And to be perfectly honest, we don't always know, either, but more often than not, God has tapped us on the shoulder and whispered in our collective ears and said..."Hey, check this out over here...!" Of course, when it's a God-Thing, it always turns out well for ALL involved. When it's just our own voice we harken to, we end up with a mistake. Oh, well...we learn.
In Closing...
...We saved the best for Last: We are a Christian family and we do try to honor Jesus without stuffing him down anybody's throat. We love Him and we hope you'll give Him a chance to show you how Great He is. He does hear, He does answer prayer, He does discipline, He does love.
He does.
