Hello, my name is Jinx Garza. Welcome to my aboutme page. I used to make beads and sell there here on eBay before pain and illness forced me to quit in 2003. Then, on April 30, 2007 I underwent a bifrontal craniotomy to remove the cause of it all, a baseball-sized brain tumor called a benign olfactory groove meningioma. Here's a pictue of it: my MRI. Can you believe how huge it was? My brain was completely squished! No wonder I had trouble functioning. My recovery has been coming along extremely well and I've been blogging about it. After years of illness and recovery from brain surgery, I'm finally back in the studio doing what I love, making evil eye beads and hearts! Here's what I've done so far this year:

I'm happy to report that several people responded to my appeal for pictures of my work after my hard drive crashed a few years ago. I now have a partial catalog of my early work, which I use as inspiration for my current work. If you have any pictures of my pre-2003 beads, please contact me at jinxgarza@comcast.net .
