Dickens Village 2006

Ever since my husband and I met over seven years ago, we have been building dioramas and displays out of different themes such as Dickens Village from Department 56 or a battle feild depicting Picketts Charge at Gettysburg out of toy soldiers that we paint by hand with great detail. Every year our Christmas Display gets bigger and better. This year (2007) we had approx. 75 sq. ft. of display and loaded with animation from a train, trolley, water fountain and numerous skating ponds. We love seeing the suprise on people's faces as they walk in our door and see the amazement in their eyes as they look at every little detail in the display. We usually take several months of work in order to get it ready by Christmas. Check out pictures of our displays on our eBay page and also on our website!

We enjoy making all of our products for the displays like cobblestones, roads, walls, mountains etc. We also create fantastic landscaping from dried flowers to add color and realism.

Most of the plastic toy soldiers from Civil War era to British Ceremonial figures are all handpainted from bare plastic and we try to stay as close to original appearence as possible. We have all of our products we sell on eBay plus many more, we offer display tips and a picture gallery of our displays and we will gladly publish pictures of others displays.
