Thus, although you will be unable to acquire a genuine Old Masters oil from me, you will be able to acquire a quality and tasteful oil on canvas at a real bargain price. All of our oil paintings are professionally stretched on a solid wooden backing, and are shipped ready to be framed. You may pay $5 or $10 more for shipping in this form, as opposed to unmounted and rolled in a tube, but you will be spared the $40 or $50 (or more) cost of having it professionally stretched and backed. Note that it is pretty well impossible to place an oil painting in a decorative frame to display it unless it has been stretched and mounted on a backing, so don't allow yourself to disregard this fact of life when contemplating buying an unstretched oil on canvas, or even a giclee (print on canvas or other medium).
