Dave Ahl: Writer, Collector, Christian, Curmudgeon
Welcome! Glad you stumbled in...
After 40 years of programming computers, writing books and articles, restoring old trucks, collecting stamps and first day covers, and accumulating tons of stuff, I decided it's finally time to let some of it go. So I'm selling off tons of magazines, books, militaria, vintage computers and video games, stamps, FDCs, records, toy trucks, hardware and much more. I'm sorting through everything as quickly as I can and putting the major items on eBay. I list the inexpensive books and magazines on my web site at www.SwapMeetDave.com.
...and just who am I?
Author of 22 books including Basic Computer Games (the first million-selling computer book), the Dodge M37 Restoration Guide (sorry, it's out of print), and Dad's Lessons for Living; founder of Creative Computing Magazine, the world's first personal computing magazine; author of more than 400 articles on technology, automotive restoration, marketing, logic puzzles, travel, market research, financial planning, and investment analysis; and creator of scores of computer games like Lunar Lander, Subway Scavenger, and Orient Express. Today I teach Bible studies, do web site design and marketing, and write columns for several magazines like Classic Military Vehicle and Double Clutch. You'll find more info and pics at Dave Ahl's Home Page.
