Hello!  Thank you for showing interest in me, Kristin, and in Kristin's Place.  I wear many hats (don't we all!) but I am primarily a wife, mother of 2 little girls, student, and most recently a budding entrepreneur.  I am trying to break into the eBay world of buying and (most of all) selling.  So as my youngest sister would proudly say, "Watch me go!"

On a more personal level, I have several interests.  I love to read, cook, run and practice yoga.  My second daughter was born two months ago, so I haven't gotten back into either the running or the yoga as much as I would have hoped to by now, but it will come with time.  My goal is to run a marathon in the Fall of 2008, perhaps the Marine Corps Marathon in D.C.

I also have a strong interest in business and economics, and am particularly interested in real estate.  My goal is to start investing in properties in about a year and "flipping" them - or buying a fixer-upper, fixing it, and (hopefully) selling it for a profit.  Hopefully selling on eBay will help get my business legs under me and generate some capital to start investing with.

As far as my eBay ventures, my family is keeping me very busy with things they would love for me to consign.  I originally was going to sell my maternity clothes and some baby clothes for a little extra cash.  However, nearly every person I mentioned this to said, "I have stuff that needs selling, I just don't have the time/motivation to do it.  If you want, you can sell it for me."  Now I probably have enough prospective items to consign for six months to a year.  (Needless to say, I'm related to some serious pack rats!)  Hopefully, I'll get good enough to open my own store.

Should I ever run out of consignment items, I would like to break into the world of kitchen and cooking wares.  I love to cook, and I really love kitchen "stuff."  So who knows, Kristin's Place may become a great place to find a good deal on all your cooking needs.
