We Are: Diane and Cristina, mother and daughter artists and postcard enthusiasts. We have an interest in genealogy and local history, which led us to collect postcards from our area of New Jersey. In our search we have come across thousands of postcards, and since we can't keep all of them, we make them availible to the people for whom the postcards have special meaning. We also sell the handcrafted items we make - Paper cuttings (Scherenschnitte) cut by hand, jewelry, things that are hand sewn, and polymer clay items and candle holders.
Where we are and what we like: We have lived in East Brunswick, New Jersey forever on one of the few farms remaining. Our main interest is the French Revolution and we sell related items. "We need boldness, and again boldness and always boldness" - Danton... Other than that we have many other interests to numerous to share. We will share our favorite recipes! A little something for nothing!
Diane's favorite: Health Salad (don't let the name scare you!) This is GREAT for Picnics you can make it 2 to 4 days in advance! Shred one head of Green Cabbage, slice thinly 1 Large Onion, 2 Carrots sliced, 1 Green Pepper sliced thinly into 1 inch long pieces or 2 handfuls of the frozen cut up peppers for stirfry. For the Marinade: 8 tsp of Salt, 1/2 cup of water reduce to 1/4 if you use frozen peppers, 1 1/2 cups of White Vinegar, 1/2 cup of Oil, 1 cup of Sugar/Splenda I use the later. Mix and pour over the cabbage etc. Mix... I leave it on the counter and mix it when ever I get a chance then cover and put in the refrigerator It gets less bulky as time goes on! It serves 10 to 20!
Cristina's Favorite: Tuna Salad! One Can of Tuna drained, 2 heaping tbs of India Relish, 1 cup of prepared CousCous (Garlic Parmesan is great), 1/2 cup of Peas frozen pour on top of the just cooked CousCous, 2 heaping tbs Mayonaise, Mix the Tuna, Mayonaise and Relish then add the CousCous and Peas mix, add more Mayo if needed! Tomato pieces also go well mixed in! Well that's it! Enjoy
