I thought about selling on eBay long before I started selling- because I have lots of stuff (doesn't everyone!) that I need to part with. I had a doll business for 15 years, so I have dolls and related items. I've collected many different things and I've inherited many things.
One of my sister-in-laws has bought and sold on eBay for a long time- she was my first inspiration- also- I teach computer classes and was getting more and more requests to teach classes about eBay. I checked into becoming a Education Specialist trained by eBay and found that I needed to have eBay feedbacks in order to take the training, so I registered and got started.
I became an Education Specialist trained by eBay in 2006 and I love teaching the Basics of Selling class. I teach the class at Tri-Lakes TCRC, located in Reeds Spring, MO. Tri-Lakes TCRC is part of the Telecenter Network, which is part of University of Missouri Extension. There are 10 telecenter locations throughout the state of Missouri. These centers were set up to bring education to rural areas of Missouri that otherwise would not have access to it. I have been teaching computer classes in Microsoft Office programs, computer, Windows and Internet basics at Tri-Lakes TCRC for the past 8 years and am certified as a Microsoft Office User Specialist in MS Excel 2000 Expert (now teaching Excel 2003, just have not taken the certification test again). I have a bachelor's from the University of Missouri in Business with a major in Marketing and a master's from the University of Missouri in Educational Technology. I worked for/owned a retail doll business with my sister, Kathryn Williams Kluhsman and my parents, for 15 years before joining Tri-Lakes TCRC in Jan 1999.
