Hi there; my name is Larry Pitts, the proud proprietor of Browsers' Books. Let me assure you I take very seriously Browsers' Mission, which is to

Celebrate the joyful match of book with reader!

My goal on Ebay is to locate unusual and wonderful items for our patrons at Booktown Books, a book collective of 11 dealers. We work the counter only a few days a month and have lots of time for finding great books. Like an ongoing book fair, Booktown is a wonderful place to browse, reflecting a wide variety of interests. Located at 11671 Maltman Drive, Ste 2, Grass Valley, CA 95945, Booktown Books is open M-Sat, 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. -- if you're ever in the area, please do visit us.

I'm happy to report our area was officially recognized in 1998 as an International Booktown by "King" Richard Booth of Hay on Wye, England! Happy to have joined the ranks of such centers of literary activity as Wigtown, Scotland [among others] the "Gold Cities" of Grass Valley and Nevada City boast of over over 30 local book dealers!

I'm especially interested in the field of NATURAL HISTORY -- botany, zoology, anthropology, archaeology, geology, paleontology, meteorology, astronomy, -- out of print material and early editions are right on the mark.

PALAEONTOLOGY OF NEW YORK 1852

I was delighted to acquire this rare, pioneering palaeontology work by James Hall on eBay. Within a month I was able to acquire the matching Vol. 2 from another eBay transaction.

One book came from the East Coast, and the other from the SW; both were married, at last, in California!
