My Workshop



Hello everyone! My name is Linda DeRyder and I live in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I have been floral designing for 26 years. It is my passion and I love custom designing for my customers. I have met such wonderful people over the years, which truly makes my "job" special.

I love making unique designs and am always looking for silks that are as close to the real thing as can be. I am an avid gardener so I want my silk flowers to look as if they were picked from the garden.

My husband and I were in upper management for years and are semi-retired (which means we are busier than we have ever been!!). Three years ago we became caregivers for my Great Aunt. It has been a challenge with great rewards. We have given up our real estate business and stay close to home. I indulge in my floral business and my husband is a "getcha" guy. (Everyone says "Hey, can I getcha to fix this or fix that!!) And he loves it. He also is my shipping guy.

Last year, with my floral business, I was supplying quite a few stores in my area, besides working with many designers. But as my Aunt's health became worse I decided to cut back so I could be home more. As a result, I started looking at Ebay thinking this was a way I could continue to do what I love and still be here to care for my Aunt.

Well, little did I know, what a wonderful place this is and it was just what I was looking for!!

I have slowly taken over my husband's 40x 50 pole barn. As long as I stay out of his workshop he is happy!
