AUCTION STUFF & INFO!!
I have decided to list all that stuff necessary for successful transactions in this "me-page" - my auctions started looking too cluttered!! Occasionally I will add something important - but it will ALWAYS be in the auctions first - so that the regulars don't have to look at this page all the time! Does that help??
I appreciate your questions if something is not clear or I forgot an important detail! I am one of the few sellers who leaves feedback after the bidder pays (I don't hold you hostage waiting for yours!!) - and always include the shipping date in the feedback - it simply eliminates a lot of emailing back and forth! Please - before you ask "if and when" your item has been shipped - look at your feedback first! So much time is wasted checking and emailing when it is really unnecessary!!
I reserve the right to cancel any auction which doesn't generate any (bidding) interest.
I WILL HAPPILY COMBINE AUCTIONS FOR ONE COMBINED PAYMENT - BUT PLEASE WAIT FOR MY INVOICE!! A modest handling charge is included in the flat rate for shipping. If you win several auctions, I add this handling charge only once and will adjust your shipping in the final invoice.
95% of my listings come directly from Europe - most likely from Germany. Linens which have a smokey or disagreeable smell or are badly stained are laundered before listing - unless they have never been laundered before. In that case - I allow the new owner to be the first one to launder. Other merchandise is cleaned before shipping unless stated otherwise in auction.
Unless specifically noted - the items in my auctions are used and vintage, some antique! I mention any defects as I see them - but it is not fair to expect like-new merchandise! Lots of wonderful stores sell new things - I try to bring you unique treasures from the Old Country - with history, ambiance, and charm!
Since all of my shipped items either have delivery confirmation* or insurance (d.c. charge is included in my shipping charge - insurance is optional at the bidder's request) - sometimes a small, slim item will arrive at your house with a few foam peanuts inside. No - I haven't lost it!! The post office does not allow d.c. on items unless they are at least 3/4 inches thick - THAT'S WHY!
>>>>>INFO FOR MY FELLOW SELLERS!<<<<<
If a customer pays with Paypal and you do NOT have delivery confirmation on the item - the customer can say they never received their item, Paypal will do a CHARGE-BACK and take the amount the bidder paid out of your account! It does not matter if you sit there with your postal receipt to their zip-code in your hand and have the emails to prove that the customer DID NOT WANT INSURANCE!!!! I thought that was sufficient.....WRONG!! The Paypal assurance to the bidder/payer states that the item has to be traceable through the internet......that it has been shipped and/or received. A scrupulous bidder did that to me.....and won....and left negative feedback in addition!! I sincerely hope that person never bids on your auctions - since that little stunt was not her first one....
Now - delivery confirmation is part of my shipping charge. The post office states that items for delivery confirmation have to be at least 3/4 inches thick.....so I put a few foam peanuts in the envelopes so they too qualify for d.c.
I hope I helped someone out there today!!
