My new pink vintage, complete with Club Aluminum pots!
Look @ my unique pink & aqua vintage refrigerator! Isn't it just the cutest thing ever!?!?
Hello, my name is Jill. I am starting over! My house burned accidentally and I lost everything, absolutely everything I ever owned. It's a horrible feeling. I was out of town with a friend "licking my wounds" after being laid off my great job when my house burned. It happened in the middle of the night, so no one saw it until my neighbor's son, working late @ Taco Bell drove by around 3 A.M. & called the fire dept., that's why I lost everthing...cause it burned for hours before anyone saw it. So, all that to say...I'm starting over from scratch. I have a wonderful family and fabulous friends who've helped me start over! I am blessed! : )
So, since then, I've begun to start re-collecting & searching to replace some of my stuff...stuff like cool, vintage, unique & pink & aqua stuff on eBay. I am decorating my new kitchen in the vintage 1950's, mostly pink and aqua. My floor is black and white checkered and I bought an incredible pink & aqua vintage refrigerator and also a fabulous, almost never used pink stove and a pink vintage table and chairs. It has been hard to start moving on, but I know the Lord has a wonderful plan for my life! There is a reason for everything! Of course, it took me a little time to come to that conclusion, but I do believe it 100%!!! :)
One of the things that's brought me joy is finding neat, vintage and retro things to buy on eBay! It's a blast! Most all the stuff in my kitchen is vintage...it's really cool! I am single, fun and love life! I am looking for a great, christian man! (so if you know of anyone exceptional, let me know!) :) I have taught kindergarten girls @ my church for 15 yrs. My little girls are great and a joy to teach! I am a admininstrative project assistant for a construction company, but my real dream is to become a flight attendant!!! I also travel like crazy, the caribbean, Europe, anywhere fun! :) I bought my dream car a couple of years ago...lime green VW New Beetle and I have "Daisy" rims...and my license plate is "DAISY BUG"...too cute! I have started selling extra stuff that I had in storage and things that I no longer need. Even though I lost my home, I still had a lot of stuff in storage...eeeekkkkk...so keep checking back!!! My family has several storage rooms full of stuff that I plan on putting on eBay!
Well, it has been my vow since my fire to warn everyone about the trick that insurance biz has...to NOT tell you to get Replacement Value Insurance!!! Here is my little, but valuable piece of advice...CHECK YOUR INSURANCE POLICY AND MAKE TRIPLE, TRIPLE, TRIPLE SURE THAT YOU HAVE ADEQUATE FIRE INSURANCE AND WHEN YOU DO, MAKE QUADRUPLE SURE YOU HAVE REPLACEMENT VALUE INSURANCE, NOT Cash Value Insurance...I NEVER want anyone to go through the terrible ordeal I've had to go through getting my life back...for just a few dollars more a month, it will save you a great deal of heartache. Go, take pictures and video your entire house and then give them to a friend or family member to keep for you. Loss from fire can happen to anyone...a friend who helped me through my fire JUST had her home burn.
Oh yea, one more thing...during all my travels, I have always brought back beach sand from wherever I was. That is one of the things that I would love to replace. I am always searching for sand from any of the islands that I've ever been to...or if you are planning a trip, let me know and if I went there, I will pay you to bring back some sand for me...I am serious!!!
Well, I don't want to leave you with sad thoughts...my life is finally taking shape again and I am happy. I look at life differently now. We are not promised tomorrow, so make today count!
Love your family, don't take them for granted!
Keep in touch with friends, they are priceless!!! Don't stress about your job, be sure to leave work on time and go enjoy your life at home. Live your dreams and you will not live to regret it! Take your problems to the Lord, He has your BEST future planned out anyway! Read Jeremiah 29:11 and Romans 8:28...Take care and don't forget what I said about the Replacement Value Insurance! :)
