I AM THE MASTER'S PIECE!
As I look back at my life I can see God developing the artist in me. My passion is to be a full time artist for the Lord Jesus Christ and create the visions that are given to me. It is really hard to explain these visions but I can create them. Over the years I have had a fear of painting these visions , not knowing if others would understand and that they would never be good enough. But as I started to seek the Lord about this passion and desire, things have been revealed. Truly I am believing that I will soon be a full time artist and the art work created through me will abundantly support me and my family. God is so rich in His ways.
As I was growing up I struggled in school with reading, English and math but excelled in science and bloomed in art. It was not until college before I was diagnosed with Dyslexia. God is so amazing, I was not taught to read the way a dyslexic person would be taught. The teaching that was showed to me was sounding out and memorization, very confusing for a dyslexic. The amazing thing that God taught me was visualizing, as I got older I related everything with a picture in my mind. This was the only way that I could make it and still I had immense struggles.
One of the neatest things that God started to share with me was these intense visions when I was listening to praise and worship, hearing His word, reading His word, in prayer, when others are being prayed over and when just meeting people.
Years ago I started painting murals and creating little things. Over time I got a job here and there. But many times I had others mention that I needed to do this as a profession. I enjoyed it but thought the pay was to inconsistent so I just did not pursue it. I knew that this would be so much fun because I can be creative and it is a form of worship to me. This would also allow me the freedom to serve my family, which is very close to my heart. One day as I was painting the Lord spoke to me saying: Devote yourself to the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. At this moment I knew He was working on this within me. These words are what I have been holding onto, the words He spoke within my heart to create for Him. I knew that by reading his word we are to glorify Him in everything we do and that as a body He gives us all very special gifts. The gifts of creativity in creating art as well as being a mother, wife and leader are my gifts in the body.
The Lord also started speaking to me about creating the visions that was giving me. When I obeyed this and created my first painting I was over whelmed with the level of worship that was in creating that piece. This was a defining moment, I wanted with all my heart to create the visions on canvas or some other material. After creating this piece I was unsure what others would think. Being that I had been working with e-bay for awhile I wanted to test the water and see how it would go and if there was any interest in my work. Amazing, I sold two of my pieces in a week. God is so good. Being that the other pieces I have had as visions are a little different that what I have seen, I want to see if they can reach people on e-bay. I am a visual learner and there are several people who are. Being that I want others to come to know the Lord I believe that these pieces created through me are messages. When I see some pieces of art I am inspired with in and it is almost like a fire is started to learn more and seek. This is what I believe that my art is about and pray that others may learn from my works of art or see something in Christ that they may have not seen before.
The photos I have presented are a few of the pieces that have been created through me. I have also included some of my murals but my heart is in canvas. The photos shown are pieces that have been sold or given as gifts. These should give you some idea of how God is working through me. I will update the photos as pieces sell.
