Lyle's acreage and farm equipment

Hello and thanks for looking!

I live in west central Iowa on 14 acres just north of Denison. I enjoy restoring old tractors [farmalls], fixing up older skid steers, backhoes, going to farm sales and just tinkering in the shop. I have a small, one man tree service where I do transplanting, tree stump grinding and possibly some tree trimming. I am self employed but also help out area farmers during their busy time with field work and harvesting. Here we raise a lot of corn and soybeans, there are also a few cow - calf operations. I attended Iowa Lakes Community College for "farm equipment mechanics" including gas and diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical, transmission repair and rebuilding. I also worked for a diesel injection pump and turbo shop after class where I picked up a lot of neat tricks for my favorite hobby - Tractor Pulling! When I moved back home I went to work for the local Case-IH implement dealership in Denison as a mechanic for 2 years. There I worked on all kinds of farm equipment from combines, tractors, skid steers, lawn mowers, ect. 

 		 
 

I try to find good used equipment locally that maybe just needs a little t.l.c. Most equipment comes from area farmers that are retiring or updating. I try to go through the machines as best as I can and repair what needs it to make it reliable and usable for the next owner. Sometimes I sell equipment "as is" or "not running" because I run out of time to repair everything, so I make it very clear that the item for sale is not usable without some work and I will give my best guess on what it takes to repair it.

Most items I can load at my place, no problem. I have a loading dock and a large payloader. I can help load at no extra charge.

 John Michael has very reasonable rates on hauling equipment nationwide. He has hauled 2 skid steers for me with no problems. He hauls everything from tires to small tractors. There you can place a free "hauling wanted" ad and I guarantee you will get some e-mails from equipment haulers from all over. Before you call anyone to get a shipping quote find out how many miles it will be. You can do this easily by going to mapquest and type in my zip code [51461] and yours, it will give you exact miles. I also have a trailer and will haul up to 400 miles for $1.75 a loaded mile, I can usually get the item to you right away. My address is 1360 210th st. Schleswig, Iowa, 51461.
