A BIT ABOUT MADDIE-N-ME!!

WELCOME TO MY PERSONAL PAGE!!

 Hi! I am a mom of three beautiful children....Ilyssa is 10; Chase is 7 and Maddie is 4!! I also run a Parent Training and Information Center for the Dallas /Ft. Worth area for children with special needs (called the PATH Project - see the link below). Each one of my children are special, but Maddie has the most incredible story to tell! She's my "miracle" child....read on....

Maddie stopped breathing at 10 days old due to a terrible virus called RSV (Respiratory Syncitial Virus)....

 To make a very long story short,...no one responded to my "emergency call button" while in the hospital and she went without oxygen for over 5 minutes!! By the time they got to her she was "black" and needed to be revived. At 14 months old she was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy....but take a look at her today!! INCREDIBLE!! They didn't know if she would ever walk or even talk!!! She started walking with leg braces at 24 months old and started talking at 3! YIPEE!! She has come so far...I have to boast, I am so proud of her accomplishments!! She has been in Speech, Physical and Occupational therapy since she was 4 months old and is now in a "special" preschool to meet her needs. We also recently found out she has dysphagia (swallowing disorders due to her low muscle tone) and am learning to live life around that as well. She has taught me so much not only as a mom, but being a mom of a "special needs" child!! We still have alot of challenges to deal with and I don't know what the future will bring, but I am truly blessed with each and every one of my beautiful children!! This page is dedicated to her!
I found EBAY about two years ago ....all it took was just one look!! LOL!! I was hooked! Shopping 24 hours a day without leaving the house or dragging the kiddo's along??!!! I first started buying things for my children (I LOVE cute clothes!!) and then I started selling what they had outgrown and well, let's just say it's a bit addicting!! I love it! I have met the most incredible people through EBAY!! I pride myself on selling only quality items and try to please all my customers...if you check my feedback you will see I have alot of repeat customers!
