I spend much of my spare time doing cross stitch, quilting, and reading. I've piled up quite a number of patterns, books, fabric, floss, and supplies over the years, and I can't seem to resist buying new patterns, so that's how I got started on eBay. I buy stuff in lots mostly, then use what I want to, and sell the rest to try to get my cost back.
My husband reads, and because years ago he took a speed reading course, he reads 4-5 books a week. Thank goodness he likes to re-read a lot of his books, but the excess, well, it piles up...so that's how I got on Half.com.
Hubby's also a grrrrreat cook, and he's bought a lot of cookbooks over the years, not to mention that people keep giving him cookbooks for every holiday and birthday, so from time to time, we trim those back a bit by putting them on eBay or Half.com.
