Thanks so much for looking! I am so excited to see all the fun everyone is having with the new Dough Games!
My Game originated 16 years ago at my first Baby's Shower. My friends and I were figuring out what games to play. As we were brainstorming, my friend Mary had mentioned a game that you were to chew a piece of gum and make a baby out of it. I thought is was actually really yucky. Then it came to me, why not make a baby out of dough. So, we bought dough and used that. Actually, the first time it was played we had blue, yellow, pink and white babies! Quite colorful. We found that guests even used things like the napkins and confetti that was on the tables to decorate their babies! Everyone loved it! We laughed and laughed!
After a couple of years, my same friend Mary was now having her own baby and wanted to play the same game. I wanted it to be alot of fun and just make her shower a hit. I then made batch after batch, trying to come up with the right color of a baby and scent. It's easy to make the dough, the color and scent is what took time. Finally it happned, the perfect ingredients for the perfect baby.
Then, I had several friends and relatives request the Baby Game for their showers and said i should sell it. My husband encouraged me to list it on Ebay. As soon as i did, within two weeks, I was saddend to see that someone shortly after listed something similar. But, what I do is just have fun and make a little money for my family doing so. I love to keep adding new items to keep it interesting, fun for me and my buyers.
I had so many requests for the Bride Game and the Groom game, I began listing it too. And that is how it all began.
I noticed that a concern was freshness and if the dough would keep. I have practiced storing and vacume packing it, refridgerating it and freezing it. My findings were that the dough would keep for serveral months by just storing it in a cool place. I still found my buyers were concerned. I then asked friend who is a Food Service Manager for a local high school (my friend Mary's husband) and he said it would keep for a along time, but vacume packing would even be better. So again, after testing it serveal times I found that vacume packing it, refriderating it, then removing it at room temperture helps keep the texture and scent as if it were just made.
Just to sumarize it all, I have such a great time with the New Dough Games! I love making my buyers and their guests happy. I love all the notes I get back telling be what a blast everyone had at their showers! I have fun preparing it and packing it knowing how many smiles it will bring.
Besides the Dough I also Love Pooh. There are so many cute items! I love making Pooh fans happy with Fun and cute items. I have a 1 year old and one of her first words was Winni-da-Pooh. She has serveral pieces of Pooh clothing in her closet! When i shop for her that is when i find alot of my items.
The best part about my store is the Friends I make that live around the World. I now have friends in France, Ireland, Germany , Canada and all over the USA. How cool is that?
