My 3 little inspirations!
|
I started selling on ebay in July of 1999 - casually selling an item here and there for fun, and then the corporation that I worked for downsized, a lot - 200 jobs! Well, my job was one of those jobs that were cut, and I became a stay at home mom in 2001. Since then, I became active in the ebay community. I love to buy and sell clothing! My children are showered with upscale boutique clothing by our families, and ourselves! My children are my life, and I sell on ebay to help save money for their college funds. I also teach others how to buy and sell on ebay. It’s a lot of fun for me, and I truly enjoy it!!!! In my spare time, I'm an advocate for people with Down syndrome.
I am a mother of 3 children ages 8, 5 and 2 years. My youngest is my only daughter, and she was born in Decmeber of 2005 with Down Sydrome, and 2 congenital heart defects. To date, she is a high functioning child, full of life, with bright eyes, and an amazing smile! She is doing very well, and we have her involved with early intervention specialists and she even attends school at only 2 years old! Our two boys absolutely adore her, and give her as much love and attention as she can handle! I can’t stress enough to anyone that having a child with a disability is certainly a blessing in disguise. It changes you from the inside out, in many, many ways. For me, it was a very positive experience, and I became active in our community setting up a Down Syndrome Support Group, and getting involved with the National Down Syndrome Society (NDSS). I hope in the near future, I can organize a Buddy Walk, which is a fundraising event for the NDSS in our hometown! I want the world to know that people with DS can do the same things as you and I – they may need a little additional time to grasp things, but if you can teach, they can learn. Children with Down Syndrome are making great strides in our world! DS individuals are graduating from High Schools, and even colleges with multiple degrees! They are marrying, working and being active members of our society! Because of the breakthroughs in medicine today that are detecting the heart problems associated with DS, people with DS are living longer and healthier lives today, and even longer ones in the future! With our care, compassion, love and support – the sky is the limit for people with Down Syndrome! If you want to learn more, PLEASE check out the National Down Syndrome Society website, or ask someone – even me – I’ll be happy to send you information on Down Syndrome. It really does pay to know just a little bit more!
I try my very best to list each and every item to the best of my ability. I’m only human, and sometimes I may make an error, but I’m more than willing to work with my customers on their issues. After all, if it wasn’t for my wonderful customers – I couldn’t do this! So, I want to take a moment and thank each and every one of my customers out there for shopping my auctions! It means so very much! Especially those folks that I've made friends with over the years! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!!
Sometimes I run into snag here and there with some people, who I cannot make happy no matter how hard I try, and who are just very difficult to work with. Recently, I had two VERY bad experiences with buyers on ebay. They left unjust negative feedbacks, and took things into their own hands. They threatened, harassed, cussed, called my home, swore over my answering machine for my young children to hear, and you name it - it's happened to me between these two buyers. I’m proud to say that those two people are no longer a part of the ebay community. I worked closely with Ebay to help get these buyers removed. It makes me feel good that these people are no longer allowed to bid or buy on ebay, and that they cannot hurt anyone else! Also, I’ve began to keep a record log about each and every transaction that I have a negative for, and if you want to know what what happened – email me, and I’ll send you all correspondence from those transactions.
So, if you have any questions at all regarding any of my auctions, or a question in general, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I work online everyday, and I will answer your messages. So, Happy Ebaying everyone,
and Smile :0) ... Spring is on the way!
***UPDATE*** I can’t believe that I’ve been back In College for a year already this April! My kids have inspired me to return to college last year. I made up my mind that I truly want to help people. I am majoring in Respiratory Therapy and minoring in Psychology. I'm loving college and I'm learning a lot of new things! I was awarded 2 scholarships for academic promise and I was chosen to give an inspirational speech at our College, which was something I have never done, and after I gave my speech, I received a standing ovation! That truly strengthened my desire to obtain my degree even more! I must admit, It's a great feeling! My kids are my inspiration to make a difference! I thank God for them, and my family! No matter how tough life seems, good things do happen! Good times don't last, and bad times don't either! So, if you are a stay at home mom, and think it's impossible to return to college, it's not, have faith, and know that you CAN do it too!
