I would like to welcome everyone to my Web page and hope that they have as much fun as I do in finding unique and wonderful items, regardless of what their intent is for them.

I love Collecting.....

 I love collecting and I collect everything from thimbles to antique furniture. I just retired and am in good health and love buying, selling, trading and sometimes keeping some of the wonderful stuff I find. I have only been collecting for about 9 years and started it on a "fluke". If you have time, I'll tell you my short story. I worked for a big company for 23 years. This company was located in a very rural area with a population of only about 400 people. Kinda like Mayberry RFD. Everyone knew everyone (and their business!) Upon the death of an old couple that lived in an old, small house frame house which bordered our company property, the company bought that house and all it's contents. They boarded up the house with everything in it and it sat for 17 years. Nothing touched. When I finally did purchase only the contents, it was unbelievable. The salt and pepper shakers still had salt and pepper in them....There were paper napkins in a plastic napkin holder on an oil cloth table cover. Mr. and Mrs. Conniff's clothing still hung in an old wardrobe. What a find!!! Remember, this was a very country couple with no expensive taste, who had only the simpliest of everyday living items. So along with 17 years of dust, I dug in. Cleaning, shining, researching and listing anything of any value. (At that time, I didn't realize a lot of WHAT was in that old house WAS valuable. I realize now how much I threw out that I should have kept!) And that's how I got started!!!!
