My name is Michel, from Montréal (Quebec), and my first language is French. I'm a retired College teacher in computer science although my background is in theoretical physics and mathematics.
I took my retirement at 50 years to carry out the projects (physics) which I like and to spend time with the children. Two years after the beginning of my retirement I was victim of a cardiac stop vascular (AVC) what limited me in my driving functions.
That left after-effects like the loss of the writing, as well as the loss of the word, I thus again had to learn how to speak and that during one year. I am confronted to leave certain projects of development as the projects which I made is the programming of my Web sites on the stamp collections.
My main interests are:
- My family;
- Astrophysics and field theory;
- Those weird theories in physics of
elementary particles;
- Fractals;
- Music (classical, jazz and rock);
- Biology and Science in general;
- Paintings;
- I did canoe camping and cross country skiing;
And, not last, Philately:
My collecting interests
Liberia 1860-1960 stamps including overprints, proofs, trials and errors with a specialty in the 1952 Jehudi Ashmun issue;
U.S.A. 1847-1950 stamps with emphasis on Roosevelt-Farley era including 1935 special printings;
Tonga pre 1950 stamps and Tin Can Mail covers;
Bosnia first issues;
Paintings on stamps of Europe (Used or CTO and mint from France), can't buy the real thing;
I'm exploring other possible studies like pre 1915 world CTO's, Great Britain's Penny Red and Quebec postal history.
