me:
Hi, I'm John.
I would first like to say that I will do everthing possible to make you a satisfied customer. Should you have any questions or problems with anything you purchase from me, please email me, through eBay, at microdesigns128@comcast.net. If your satisfied, please give a positive feedback as this is very important to me.
Now, a little about me. I was born in 1950 in a family with 8 kids (I'm the first and yes, I grew up Catholic). Graduated HS in 1969 and volunteered for the draft.
At that point in my life, I was a little ... well, off-center; I volunteered for the Infantry and Vietnam. I was sent to 1/502 Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division where I again, volunteered to join their Strike Recon platoon (I did say I was a little off-center, didn't I?). I guess I wanted to be a 'Rambo' ... who knows ...
I returned to the 'world' in 1971, settled in the contruction field; worked my up to be a Project Manager, got married ... got divorced 22 years later (she got tired of me).
I have one son with 4 grandsons :), he's not Catholic, he just can't keep it zipped! I re-married in 1997, who has a daughter, with a son and a son, with a son (a total of 6 grandsons).
MY COMPANY:
I own Micro Designs, a small 'non (or very little) profit' software company located in Northern Virginia.
I've written games and utility programs for the Commodore 128 / 128D since 1990. I started selling my software (as well as other software and computer related products) on eBay since November of 2004.
COMPUTERS & PROGRAMING:
I got interested in writing computer games, when in 1982, I saw my Dad input this 'basic code' into his old IBM PC (4-colors, 256k ram, 360k disk drive, hard drives have not been invented yet) then hit <Enter>... and 'puff' ... a 'wire' spaceship (it looked like a pencil) would land on a 'wire' lunar landscape ... how did he do that? .. and then he showed me and I got hooked.
My Computers: I have owned (or still own*) many computers since 1982, which includes an Atari 800XL, (3) Commodore-64s*, (4) Commodore 128Ds*, Amiga 500, Amiga 1000, Amiga 2000HD*, a 286, 386, 486*, P1*, P2*, P3* (desktop & laptop) and (2) P4s*. I've re-built and/or built my 486, P2, P3 and P4 from scratch.
I enjoy tinkering, upgrading, adding boards, OS systems, etc., as much as writing utility programs and games. |
Programming: I have completed a few games for the C128, selling them on eBay:
* Starship Battles 128 * was an idea I got from the Star Trek II movie where Kirk and Khan were fighting it out on the Enterprise and Reliant starships, cool stuff.
* Space Pirates 128 * was intended to be a pirate adventure game in the the Starship Battles Universe
* Choices * is a small Christian based learning game for kids 7-10 years old. The teachings include what type of movies to watch (or not to watch), honoring their father and mother, etc., all based on Biblical teachings.
I'm working on a few other games: Orc Island 128 (fantasy adventure), Air Cav 128 (Vietnam tactical), 'Nam 128 (Vietnam strategic), Federation Space 128 (grand-scale based on Starship Battles 128 Universe)
* Season Football * is also forsale on eBay - for the PC. My Dad, who is a terrific programmer and a total football and stat fanatic, wrote this game (with a little help from me on graphics) and continues to update and tweek it all the time. Great 'retro football game', you should check it out on eBay!
MY INTERESTS:
I enjoy space and strategy computer games, movies, computers programming, sports, fantasy football, baseball and basketball leagues (I'm the commish of several of them), golf, motorcycles (bought and sold two of those on eBay), music (been a drummer for 40+ years).
God, Wife, Family, Country, Work, Fun :) ... All of my life's decisions are based in that order. That's me in a nut <> shell ...
SUMMARY:
I sell great computer products at a fair price, guaranteed to work or I'll refund your money. You can't beat that! You can contact me, through eBay, at: microdesigns128@comcast.net with any questions or comments.
Thanks For Looking and God Bless You and Your Family,
John LeDoux
