Born out of a love for animals, particularly dogs, Molle Tache was created to give pets and their people the ultimate experience in dog gifting. I am Mike Spears, founder of Molle Tache, and the Dog Designer. Me and my small design team (including my three design terriers!) create ultra luxury hand crafted products, including dog beds, furniture, toys and other accessories. We visit clients in their homes or workplace and create products that are one-of-a-kind designs created around the personalities and lifestyles of pets and their people. Some products I offer are standard designs with optional accessories. For example, a buyer may select a bed style and then buy one or more sets of matching bedding. And don't be surprised to find new creations up for auction; design whims I dream up and become obsesses with until created. It's a beautiful experience! I often relate the process to getting a splinter; once the idea is in my head, I can't think of anything else, except getting it out. And when it's finally out, it's a rush of relief. I think that's what ideas do to creative people!
Additionally, I love to teach, especially young people. One of the most rewarding ways to do that is through my books. I write and illustrate how-to books. My first book, Silly Dog Toys, is a how-to craft book on making dog toys and creative ways to play with your dog. Books make great gifts and how-to books can't help but to keep on giving.
Before the Dog Designer, I was a graphic designer and entrepreneur. With a degree in communications and a keen obsession for technology, it's no surprise you find me here in the eBay community. I've worked in the fields of public relations, publishing, marketing, investor relations and in other white collar corridors. However, my secret obsessions, building, inventing, art emerged two years ago and joined forces with my love of dogs. Creating things for dogs, beautiful things, seemed to make sense, and it just felt right. While others in the world adjust to my often outrageous ideas, I can be found most often in the workshop, at the drawing board, the computer or brainstorming ideas at the coffee shop with my creative team. There is a growing segment of pets and their people that can afford nothing less than my best! And I am very fortunate to provide it!
