I am the proud mother to two precious little girls.and have a lov ing supportive husband of 18 years My daughter donated her hair to Locks of Love at the age of 4 and just again at the age of 7. Their grandmother, "TUTU", my mother, just received a double lung transplant at UCSF medical center on March 26, where she still remains in ICU. It has been along road to recovery with many more challenges ahead. My mohter is a beautiful 58 year old woman who is fighting for a second chance at life. She has to be a way from our family for up to a year, we live in Texas. She has to remain local to UCSF in case of organ rejection. It has been very hard on all of us and my babies miss her so. We have to do fundraising to offset the anti-rejection medications that will keep her alive and all of her travel and lodging expenses not covered under insurance. I have partnered with National Foundation for Transplants www.transplant.org , see Sherry from Texas, that is my mom. My daughter is hosting Sweet Tea for Tutu to raise money, where she has raised 500.00 so far. She would like to make this an ongoing charity, to save lives through organ donation awareness. Please share any stories of inspiration that you may have. Also, please visit the website or www.tutubenefit.com for more information on how to help. Blessings to all and may life be blessed with love and laughter, because the other stuff doesn't matter without this. AMEN- Michele from Texas
