The Glass is Always Greener
At least it is at our house. I had seen the old depression glass that my grandparents had, but their glass was all crystal or shades of pink. It didn't inspire me to collect it or read more about it. Then I discovered the GREEN! In less than a year, I was hooked. I'm still a learning collector and devour reference books on any pattern or company. My favorite patterns are Tearoom, Parrot, and Windsor. I also collect Heisey's Moongleam color in any pattern and frosted green powder jars. I also collect movie posters, compacts, vintage costume jewelry, and vintage tablecloths. I'm a member of the Vintage Tablecloth Lovers Club.
Mysterious Interests
One of my other hobbies is mystery fiction. I'm also the Program Chair and past overall chair of a national mystery convention for readers of the traditional mystery Malice Domestic. I'm also a member of Sisters in Crime. a group promoting women mystery authors.
