A word about our models: There are many modelers
today working very hard, long hours with little or
no recognition for their efforts and we applaud them
all for their dedication to their craft. We spend
countless hours sifting through digital images,
still photos and libraries of moldy books studying
the historic records of how people lived and worked
before we even begin to design our models. Each
model is crafted as if the people from that era were
really going to use it. They are painstakingly
painted and weathered so that rust appears where
rust would naturally occur, water stains pond and
streak like real water traces, wood stains fade into
a myriad of dusty color smudges and paint peels as
it ages. Our weathering is not merely a smattering
of paint flakes haphazardly scattered over the
model, but intricately designed into every nook and
cranny. This combination of historic research,
architectural design, modeling craftsmanship and
painstaking weathering results in a finished model
that is much more than a fancy paint job – it is a
piece of historic art ready to take up its humble
place on your museum quality pike. We
build layout ready painted & weathered scale models
primarily out of styrene and wood. If you like what
you see, and we can't emphasize this enough - buy
it. Many of our models are truly unique, one of
a kind, yep it's the only one ever made kind of
models. These are not mass produced. You are looking
at a hand made original work. We may never make
another one exactly like it.
