Hello, my name's Lea Ann, and buying my stuff will help get me a baby!
Starting a family has always been the main goal of my husband and I. But after five years and multitudes of fertility drugs, we've still come up empty handed in the baby department. So we're getting our home and our savings account ready for adoption. We're applying for twins or a set of siblings right off the bat, and as you may imagine, it is going to be expensive. But we are so excited at this prospect of finally fulfilling our dream of parenthood.
Which is where Ebay - and YOU - come in. I've been getting great stuff from Ebay since 1999, and now it's my turn to sell. I'm committing to sell as many of my collectable or usable belongings as I can to help build our adoption savings. The more money we have saved, the less we have to borrow or put on credit cards when the time comes next year.
Luckily for me, I was a collector and a pack rat throughout my teens and twenties. I'm not sure how it started, but in college I worked at KB Toys and Sam Goody, which certainly did nothing to slow the accumulation. (clearance rack + employee discount = happy fun time!)
Then I married a very nice boy with a similar issue. The kind of guy who had 5 video game systems hooked up to his TV when we met. The kind of guy who still has unopened baseball cards and Star Wars figurines. Oh yeah.
It's going to be a clean sweep literally and figuratively: clearing out our home of physical and material things to bring in the greatest find of them all: our first (or first and second!) child.
If you're reading this then you may have already bid on or are considering something I'm selling. I sincerely thank you for taking the time! Because I'm taking to this Ebay thing with a hopeful and positive attitude, you can be certain that I will be a polite, enthusiastic, and honest seller. Cheers!
My goal is to have 10 to a dozen things listed at all times. I would love it if you added me to your Favorite Sellers list and kept checking back to see what's new, I will be continuously listing things until we're out of stuff!
