Mother's Love

The path my life has taken started long ago when I was growing up.  I knew then that in some way I would always be involved in creating, being an artist.  Being a wife and mother, however, has always been first in my life! After my three boys were grown I became more involved in art, and after the purchase of my first computer I used it to gain knowledge of creating with polymer clay, though that was very limited.  Mostly I learned from making mistakes, and the more I learned the more I enjoyed what I was doing.

I first worked on making Santa dolls and I still enjoy that process very much, but I also find it very rewarding to see fairies and mermaids emerge from the clay.  Learning to make the fine features and curvacious bodies was so much different than working on the lines and wrinkles of an aging face!  

My husband, Terry, is very supportive and has always been very helpful! Besides being my sweetheart, he is my professional photographer and webmaster.  His imagination and ideas are very inspiring, and it's wonderful to be able to share my work with him!

I like to use my imagination and make use of some of nature's own materials in my creations.  I like to put all of my senses into my work so that my customers can feel, hear, smell, and see more things that they are familiar with, things that they can relate to, things that bring back wonderful memories, feelings of excitement and love.   Maybe my work transfers them to a fantasy world, or a place of peace found only in their dreams.     

Sculpting is theraputic for me, it makes me, "me".  I put my love, my soul into each peace.  And as I continue to work, I continue to learn, improve, and grow.  I have a love of fantasy, and as I work I enter that world every day!
