Hello out there in cyberland. I figured it was about time I updated this. I'm a 32 year old stay home mom to two girls. One is almost 8 and the other just turned 4 in July 2008. We homeschool 5 days a week from August until May and love church. I'm also a pageant director myself.
Tending to home, educating my children, taking them to gymnastics, church, and directing pageants keep me busy and tired lol. My oldest absolutely loves pageants (watching them on tv and competing). She gets to dress up in pretty dresses, have fun, and be pampered for the day. My youngest also competed in her first pageant because she likes trying to do what big sis does. I never pictured myself a "pageant mom", but when my daughter asked to do one I figured why not. What girl doesn't like getting her hair and nails done lol. My love for the industry grew and I'm now a pageant director myself. However, I believe girls in pageants should learn at a young age the value of community service and giving back. I've incorporated that aspect into my pageants and we're currently collecting nonperishable goods for the upcoming holiday season. The girls will get to go and give the goods to a food pantry or families in need if they know of any.
I enjoy working with groups of children. Currently this summer, I'm working at our Community Center with Day Campers two days a week doing Dance Dance Revolution and different games. It is such a great experience. I'm also learning to keep myself busy NOW because my husband is suppose to be deployed this spring and is already going to be gone off and on for 3 to 6 weeks at a time.
About the only thing I actually sit down and make an effort to watch on tv these days is Dr. Who. I was a fan of the original one from the 70's and was tickled when they started the new series. My girls insist I watch the cartoon Chowder with them sometimes.
My ebay id is mycountryfamily and that's just what we are. We have about 110 acres of family land to roam on and we loove it. We enjoy watching the deer grazing in the back yard. We've had a couple of encounters with the neighborhood skunks, but won the battle lol. As you can tell, we enjoy the simple things in life.
I love ebay because I can find anything I need and clear our my closet of unused things. I am a big time minimalist and believe if it's not being used it should be sold or given away to someone in need lol.
I've finally started taking paypal too!!
